- "The Sweet" CO-Founder and bassist Steve Priest sadly passed away on 04.06.2020.
On 23.02.2022, which would have been Steve's 74th birthday, a 'Memorial bench unveiling ceremony' was held at the church where Steve sang as as a young boy in their choir the 'St Mary the Virgin Parish Church' in Hayes, England, UK.
It was such a privilege to take part in the service. A big thank you to Cheryl and the rest of the organising committee, to all those that came in person, all those kind enough to donate money via the just giving page, Fr Nick and the good people of St Mary The Virgin Hayes and finally to Lisa who supported this celebration from the start, it was so lovely to meet you and your family and friends. God Bless Steve, thank you for the music ❤️🎸🙏

God bless you Lisa for keeping Steve’s memories alive. The bench seat is where people can sit and reflect the life of Steve and the band Sweet. SWEET FOREVER 🎤🎸🎼💙💙💙💙

You're dad was part of something that my kids listen to today in 2023 he and his mates will live in our memories and many more as the years go by,rest in peace Steve Preist
Didn't Steve have 3 daughters,Lisa being oldest?
@@steviesmama2562like to his first wife,one biological daughter to the second wife and they adopted a girl.second wife cremated him in america and in a moseley with a picture of him when he was young.steve had said he was bringing lisa up alone,but maybe lisa wanted to come back home to England,Steve said it had been a bad marriage,but not sure about the second,he should of been shipped home,he was cremated anyway then lisa could see him.
It was a beautiful celebration for Steve on his birthday. Friends,fans and family we’re all there too celebrate this beautiful,talented man on his Birthday

You can almost hear Steve looking down from rock and roll heaven rolling his eyes and saying, oh come on get real, lol. Steve once said back in the day that in the end, only the fans were still there nobody else really. We love you Steve, rock on

I believe he would of appreciated that,and lisa being there,he won't be forgotten,he had been sick for a very long time,his speaking was very labouring.

It was wonderful to watch and be a part of the bench dedication for Steve 💜. Nice to hear all of the kind words and memories of Steve. Maybe someday I can visit it. 💜. I had tears .

Where is Steve buried ? U.K. or USA.
Steve is buried in USA. The memorial bench revealing service was held in the town he grew up...he also sang as a choir boy in the church who held the service. For Steve's first born child Lisa...it was the Goodbye Service for her dad as he sadly died in the high of Covid and Lisa was not allowed to travel to the USA to pay her respect.
@@Concertsandmoreno he's not buried,he was cremated in a jar with a picture of Steve when he was younger in a mausoleum,you can Google and find the cemetery for all to see,he should of been sent home for lisa.
