Golf is crazy like that. These videos were tough to watch for the boys. I had a similar experience this weekend, ball striking was solid and just couldn't get the ball in the hole and shot 82. It happens guys, just move on. Thanks for sharing!
That is my golf career right now in three years, I am self taught and can strike it like I’ve played for 15 years, but get me around the greens and I pick up anywhere from 2-3 strokes EASY. I should shoot mid to high 70’s. Golf is HAAAAAARD.
For real. It happens to the best of us. I’m not great by any stretch of the imagination. Normally shoot between 85 and 90. Went out and played a course last week and literally lost about 12 balls

I've learned that no matter the box I play from, how far I hit it, if you cannot, pitch, chip and putt, your score will suffer. My buddies who scratch, ALWAYS have a chance at par, and I mean like always. As a man, its the only time you want something short to be the best part of you lol.

I’m from central Kentucky and lived in Columbus for a few years. Even tho Ohio is just north of Kentucky, you all get the shittiest weather. It’s like you all get a 1/3 of the amount of sunny days we get down here. More rain more clouds. Must be the weather patterns.

This is my home course and those green are so strange and very hard to read. I loved this episode!! It was awesome seeing y’all play a course I play 2 times a week sometimes 3.

Midday sun, wind blowing a hooley, tight fairways, impossible greens and they shoot around even? If someone had offered that to me at the start of the day I’d have bitten their hands off.. Well played guys
The course is five minutes from my house, probably gets more play than any place in vegas. Guarantee you it would only take another round or two to go really low there. There are just some very strange Vegas only courses out here where if you hit the ball slightly off the fairway you are playing in desert all day, and those green side chip off desert are just so much luck involved. Additionally you will hear a lot of locals say "oh it always breaks towards the strip". That is correct about 80% of the time but a lot of the reads are just individual green dependent.

Good old Angel Park!! The Mountain course can be a monster. But yes in Vegas we have that 20 dollar pawn shop club that is deemed “The Rock Club” hahahaha
i don't care what anyone says the amount of improvement that not just Bubbie but also the other 2 underdogs Steve and Matt have made in the last couple years is quite noticeable. If bubbie can nail down the chipping game instead of using the old Texas Wedge he can easily be one of the top in Good Good.
That golf course is a great way to ruin a few hundred dollars worth of clubs per round. Who puts a boulder field inside their golf course? It's really dumb in my opinion.

I've seen a lot of desert courses also put sand or crushed sea shells down in the waste areas which is a lot easier on clubs than straight rocks and pebbles. Talk about adding insult to injury. You hit a bad shot and then you have to ruin one of your irons or wedges. Bubbie's wedge was basically worthless after this round. Lol.
Let me first say that both of you are gifted players way beyond anything I'll ever be. However, if you just played irons or hybrids off the tee ... I'm guessing you shoot 65. Awesome content thank you

It has to be said, why did you guys drive it so much? With short holes me and my friends always catch the fairway no matter what and make sure you have an approach shot. That’s what it’s all about not worrying about getting as close as possible!
I can confirm the rumor of having a club for the rocky areas. For me it's a 9 iron cause it can be opened up like a wedge and closed up for low pitches like a 7 or 8
Yea both of these guys would have had much better outcomes if they would have just left the Driver in the car. This is not a Driver friendly course at all.
Angel park's first rule. Every. Single. Putt. Goes toward the strip. It does not matter how hard the slope is. Its so strange how it works that way. Being from vegas and having this course as my home course def taught me to hit the fairway and not put it into bunkers. Terrible sand out there.
Always a bummer when you know you’re basically out of it halfway through 🥲 What I’ve learned is that on a course that short in that format, it’s even more important to play to conservative targets off the tee because you’ll have way more opportunities for birdie than if both players are playing aggressively with driver. Statistically you’re way more likely to both bogey or worse on a hole when hitting to such skinny landing spots.
Hitting 100-yard shots from the FAIRWAY is the way to WIN on this type of a course. When you're young and dumb, it's Driver, Driver, Driver into the sand and rocks thinking you can hit from there. You have to play SMART on this type of short, narrow course or you don't have a chance. Wish I could Caddie for these guys, I get frustrated watching them and the decisions they make sometimes.
@@georgespalding7640 May sound harsh but it’s true. Even 125-150 from fairway and they should net par every hole at worst as a two man team. Some of the holes are so short they’d have partial wedges in even with irons off the tee.
@@locallegendgolf4478 The hardest shot in golf for an amateur golfer is a partial wedge and yet I see these guys playing this shot all the time. A half wedge will not stop on the green because there's not enough spin on the ball so it's better to hit like a full sand wedge or gap wedge with a full swing. The way to win these tournaments is to get the ball Within 10-20 ft and have a chance for birdie. I played a lot of tournaments like this and they can be so much fun and competitive if you use course management.

But, if you're only hitting 1/3 of the fairways and then 1/2 the wedge shots well, it's very hard to score. 4 man scramble? Sure, get one in play then all driver all day, but I think they could have been high 60s at least with good course management even on those tough greens on a bad day.
I’ve actually played this course at least 30 times and it’s definitely Sunday pin placement going on. The difference is brutal on this course . Between the favorable and non favorable pin placement
Those greens look brutal. Courses where balls are easily flying off the greens if hit slightly too hard get into your head. Scared to hit the ball, and start coming up short even on the good looks.
This is my home course and I suck compare to you guys but i'm lucky to hit the desert once a round playing the mountain course and the palm course is easier you should have played more conservative off the tee and you would have scored better.The trick on the greens is everything breaks to the Stratosphere Tower(Strat)
