Awesome new video! I really love how you are trying to make St.Albert a more known community. I’ve called it home since 1988 and as our former mayor Anita Ratchinsky would say St.Albert is “my community of choice.” I enjoy watching your videos and going on the virtual “tours” with you to various homes. I like your take on our community and I have always been interested in the rich history of St.Albert. Please keep the excellent content coming Evan.
Thank you so much for the kind words! More videos coming soon :)
What a smile on that thumbnail 😁😁
Thank you kind sir
Sure, I grew up in St. Albert. I used to go to Lacombe lake to fish when I was a kid. I went there to be with natural, it was quiet and a way to get away from everyday crowds. Now the area is a noisy dog park and can't fish there anymore. We liked St Albert because all the malls and commercialism was in Edmonton. Houses were affordable in the 80's and 90's now it is crowded and expensive. All my high school friends left and they will never move back.
I saw people fishing at the Lacombe Lake Park yesterday... are they not stocking it anymore?
@@Evan_Cochlin Don't know. Last time I fished there people were throwing balls for their dogs right in front of me and my line. Don't go there anymore.
Are there a lot of people moving there from Calgary and Edmonton? Is it similar to Okotoks or Airdrie?😅
St. Albert is similar to Okotoks, Airdrie, and Cochrane in that people who don't want to live in the big city tend to move there instead for a little more peace and quiet.
@@Evan_Cochlin Año these places sound great, even for retirement age people like myself except for the cold winter including St. Albert....even Saskatoon....
@@dovygoodguy1296 There is a large population of retirement age people in St. Albert. It's a great place to spend the summer. Many of those people travel south to dodge the harsh winters... but of course that is not cheap these days.
@@Evan_Cochlin Maybe going to Mexico, Panama or elsewhere is much cheaper.
