Have tried this. This is next level. As it is home made usually the alcohol percentage is not measured and can go upto 70%-80%.
Advise - always keep a glass of water ready before drinking this. You will need it.
people usually drink a glass of this before heavy meals, on Christmas for example. When there are -20 Celsius outside this soothes both the soul and the body. And they don't usually sip it, they just dunk it. And not everyone knows how to make it good, you might have gotten some really bad crap - it's not supposed to stink and the consistency should be oily, with big bubbles forming when you shake the bottle.
I did another video. I got another one from a co-worker and it tasted much better than this one.
not 70...this is ussualy 50% alcohool, and best to eat something while u drink it(slanina)
I had the second version of tsuica at the North of 7 distillery and it did come out at around 50%. That version tasted much better than this one.
@@drinkingincanada palinca is a traditional alcohoolic drink in northern part of the country, and has ussualy 50-52% alcohool, and its made from plums, cherries, pears and other stuf... i dont know what tf were u drinking, but i tell u, is much better than whiskey...

The first thing you learn as a kid is to always smell the liquid in plastic bottles before drinking.
I make my own palinca, just like many other Romanians. After i make wine, from grape peels. I think it tastes great.
(It really depends on what fruits you use to make it.. This year i added some other fruits and it turned out more interestingly fruit flavored. And ideally, the fruits have to be suit, not to be replaced with added sugar, or at least, as little as possible)
Try "Horinca" next time. It's usually over 70 😏

Țuică is not pălincă, its weaker 40-45& procents and made ONLY from plumbs,(smelly ones) pălinca is 50+ and (sometimes / double distilated).Aged ones have a yellow tint, and a "swetish" smell and taste Pálinka is the hungarian name for it ;)The original recepy and name comes from Slovachia , and dates from 1860.Is not that cheap, top quality bottled romanian made pălinca cost 400lei a bottle(0,75-1 liter) or ~90euro, traditional or homemade(but good) ones cost 20lei or 4-5 euros, sometimes you can find it on the road for even cheap, don't get temped as is usualy poor quality and may have sintetic stuff in it( sweatners, aroma colorants etc).In the winter you may find țuică fiartă/ boild țuica with aromatic herbs , like cinamon/scortișoară and cuișoare/clover as a tonic (wine too with the same herbs) Traditionaly tuica and pălinca are digestive drinks, served before a meal. Btw. beer at 1.5 lei is trully piss, you can find it at larger bottels 2-2.5 liters for 6-8lei (2 euro) if your pourpess is to get drunk... if not try some Silva neagră/black Silva or Azuga (non-pasteurizated).
Drink responsibly and remember that drinking in public is illegal but offten tolerated... well not if you are a angry drunk :)) Fines are 30- 200 euros :) Have fun in here!

Romania are o istorie, mult mai complicata decat ''Ungaria VS Romania '' ;)) In Orasul asta traiau toate natiile inainte , iar limba cea mai vorbita era germana, nu ungureste, nu romaneste, nu rusa , ci germana :)
