    I watch your videos regularly but especially when I’m feeling a little lost or down, you honestly make me feel better. The simplicity of the videos and day to day chores, the company of buttercup, and to know your happy with much less than the average person living in Vancouver for example with everything around them, big city, people, stores, restaurants etc. Thanks Amanda ❤

    Hi Amanda and Buttercup, I am so very impressed with you. You are such a hard worker and you keep the grounds there looking so nice. Your arms must be rock solid from handling so much wood and shoveling whatever you shovel. The owners are sure gettingntheir money's worth and then some. You always pick the right music also. Thanks for sharing this part of your life with us.

    • @AmandaOffGrid
      @AmandaOffGrid  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi John :). Thank you so much! It's easier in the winter to keep the grounds tidy cause the grass doesn't grow - haha! The snow helped as it flattened it all out and got rid of the last bit of growth that showed up in late November :). i wish i had lots of muscle... my arms are strong-ish, but not much muscle - haha! What a wonderful way to live. Maybe a little light on social interaction but the internet helps fill that void and it’s offset by the idilic surroundings. Of course Buttercup is a very good friend, one who understands you.

      My previous dog was a Bernese and he had the same thing... stick eater. He got a sliver the size of a wood nail in his jaw which the vet had to get out. Last thing I need is for Buttercup to need the vet way out here! Wowsers!! 8C is very warm. Today we hit about 5C. Thank you for your lovely comments and for watching :)

    • @AmandaOffGrid
      @AmandaOffGrid  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just remembered another story. A woman I met in Vancouver many years ago had 2 Bernese Mountain dogs. One of them got a sliver stuck in his throat and over time it developed gangrene. It grew so big that he wasn't able to breathe. He was rushed to the vet and they had to give him a tracheostomy so he could breathe again. He had to have surgery to have the infected sliver removed. I am soooo paranoid about my dogs eating sticks! I mean, it's probably unlikely that would happen, but knowing my luck it would - haha!
