I am a retired teacher from Brampton Ontario. I taught from 1973 to 2004, 31 years. I’d love to share some of my experiences here but I’m too camera shy. There’s a big difference between the system here and the Philippines. Students are funded by your taxes, which covers instructional and non instructional supplies. Here they learn by doing and mainly understanding concepts and development of thinking skills. The focus is on learning how to read then to read for information. Language development is the key to learning all the subjects, if they can read, they learn about everything through reading. I am just sharing fb with my husband and it’s hard to share my experience as an educator in one shot.
Very impressive when Rhod answered questions i am his one of the followers ❤ Rhod is constantly humble but brilliant 👏 guy, anyway I like this Spot Pinoy Vlog in Canada 🇨🇦. Have a great summer season guys. I live in lowermain land British Columbia 🇨🇦
Ina, I didn’t get to watch the live but just wanted to comment. In my opinion, Itong si Rhod, parang si Soc din yan, one of the earlier vloggers, very thorough ang research and has so many vlogs. Palibhasa ay teacher so his vlogs have an actual training quality to them. Perhaps, since the present “hot topic”, is the Caregiver PR pathway, you could also invite Sarah Buyucan, the former Caregiver who also has lots of vlogs about the Canadian Dream. If you do get to watch her vlogs, she does them in English, which I believe, has let her have an International following. Thank You and praying for the success of Spot Pinoy.
Based on our experience the curriculum of my son's school in the Phils is way advanced than here in Canada. He is 3 years advanced in academics when the school board (in Canada) assessed him. I guess it all depends on the school that you attended in the Phils.
