Beautiful shot of the conical twist changing with power settings. Emirates only use 70% power in standard take-offs if that gives you an indication of what they can push!!! Nice vid mate.
Thank you for posting, this video is my all time favourite. The engine sound is amazing, as well as the length of the take off run, wing flex etc. Well shot movy!!!
dxb/dubai, is the best place! the 'paris' of the middle east its amazing, how tons and tons of medal, FLY in the air, with nothing holding it up..... it always amazes me - and i love flying
I love the sound of those T7 engines. Even though I'm a Qatar frequent flyer and only fly with QR, I miss sitting in the T7 and glad that QR is finally getting them.
Hello!Nice takeoff to Frankfurt!!Nice sunny weather!=) I had enjoy to see your nice film!=) I give you 5 star or this nice film!=) Greeting TheCARRE74=)
@JJJardina That's not Suvarnabhumi, this is Dubai International. Suvarnabhumi and Dubai Airport are very much alike, but the one in Bangkok has some sort of a fabric if you will, and in Dubai it's all glass. :)
@Cyberium The 777-300ER only comes with GE engines but the 777-300 can come with GE, PW or RR engines. The difference is that the -300ER has raked wingtips but the -300 doesn't. Hope that helped ;)
@pete2811 The -300's are powered with Trent 800's, but the -300ER's are powered with GE90's. Emirates only use RR Trent 800's for their -300 variants. This particular engine is a Trent 800 as it is evident by the sound and nose cone.
Your actually quite right, i was speaking in regards to the exterior footprint the 727 leaves, which i guess is out of context here. Apologies. Alot of 'aviation' enthusiasts like the sound of the 77's engines, as opposed to non 'aviation folk'. Overall the 380 is very quiet yes.
that is a boeing 777-300ER , look at how huge these engines look like . the main diffrence between the ER and the other one is the engine GE90-115B the engine that causes earth quakes in some airports LOL :)
GE did not negotiate with Boeing for exclusivity to power the 77W, the 2 have a 'gentleman's agreement' only. It is not bound by contract. RR and PW are able to develop engines for the 77W if they wanted to.
Some 777-300's have P&W's but ALL 777-300ER's only come with GE90-115's...I think that GE90's were available for regular 777-300's but no airlines ordered that version of the 777.
I was told that around 2007 Emirates 777-300 changed from Trent 800 to GE 90 and that the TVs became widescreen. So if you have widescreen TVs in EK 773 it is GE powered. Otherwise you are in Trent 800 773. Don't quote me on that though.
@AmazinJase Well, my friend, there are some reasons for this. Firstly, Dubai airport is where Emirates is based. Each airline is based in a specific airport. These airports are called hubs. The hub of Delta, for example, is the Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Int'l Arpt. Another reason is that Emirates has its own terminal (T3) at DXB. That's because all the parked planes on the gates are Emirates. Got it? Cheers!
They are RR Trent 800's, not GE90's. 777-200/300's are generally powered with Trent 800's. However 777-200ER's can either be powered with RR Trent 800's or GE90's depending on the airline, whereas 777-300ER's are powered with GE90-115B's.
I hope you didn't spend that month investigating that?!??! .......He wasn't asked to switch off his electronic equipment, so if that's a fact it's irrelevant, and as it is only a policy not to use your electronic equipment anyway, he wasn't 'breaking any laws'.
No one said that RR or PW never contemplated or even went as far as developing a powerplant to directly rival the GE90-115B, the fact of the matter is there is nothing thus far that does. So......
I think that this is a 777-200. i can tell by the wings and emirates 777-300s are powered by ge90 engines, whereas their 777-200s are powered by the trent 800 engines. and this s a trent 800 engine
Beautiful shot of the conical twist changing with power settings. Emirates only use 70% power in standard take-offs if that gives you an indication of what they can push!!! Nice vid mate.
Just look at the nose cone when the CPT or F/O applies T/O power, the nose cone goes into Warp drive. Amazing to watch thnx 4 uploading
It's just the sound of the engines spooling up. It's an awesome sound!
Thank you for posting, this video is my all time favourite. The engine sound is amazing, as well as the length of the take off run, wing flex etc.
Well shot movy!!!
Very nice! And fantastic sound, in particular at the end!
dxb/dubai, is the best place!

love the 777 its a true power horse.. awesome sound...
now that was a good takeoff vid, cheers dude, beautiful sound

Nice video very smooth takeoff from a great plane.
Nice video!!
@pete2811 For the 777-300's, Emirates uses Trent 800's. But for the 300ER's they use GE90's. (GE90-115b's are exclusive for all 300ER's)
I looove the sound of Trent 800's wooh!
Graet Video, Love TAlso What A Stunning Plane ! I'doo Fly The 777-300/ER When Im Older ;D

great video. thanks for sharing it. I feel like I'm flying in a real plane.
@Cyberium there are many types of 77, 77-200, -200ER, -200LR, -300, 300ER, -300ER/ULR, some come with GE engines , some others come with royce's
I always LOVE the GE-90 engines!!!
@hammoudy1300...Its actually the 777-300 regular model because those are Rolls Royce Trent 800's...
WOW Very nice sound GREAT video :)

and read carefully the title of the video, it says 777-300!! the wings of the 777-300ER are different than -300 :D
"Bad angle"? This is a good angle, for me!
TheAeroman is correct, these are Trent 800 engines. I think they are Trent 892 to be exact. But they are definitely not 1000s.
I was told that around 2007 Emirates 777-300 changed from Trent 800 to GE 90 and that the TVs became widescreen. So if you have widescreen TVs in EK 773 it is GE powered. Otherwise you are in Trent 800 773. Don't quote me on that though.
I love Rolls Royce engine sounds!! To bad I don't hear them very often in real life :(
That my friends, is the sound of Gravity losing! Awesome!
wow i love planes
amazing sound
That Grinding sound makes my head pain
or headache
was that another plane taking off in the backround?
anyway awesome vid
5 stars!

i love this music!
Cant wait to fly with Emirates to DXB later this year...great video, where were you flying to in this vid ?
superb
not a bad angle? ITS A FANTASTIC ANGLE and very very steady. its like you had a camera stabiliser. Thankyou for a great post.
777 engines are very quiet while cruising so the people that have to sleep that are next to the engine would be alright ;)
At the beginning yes.
They are RR Trent 800's, not GE90's.
777-200/300's are generally powered with Trent 800's. However 777-200ER's can either be powered with RR Trent 800's or GE90's depending on the airline, whereas 777-300ER's are powered with GE90-115B's.
For The Win. Basically means its awesome.
A 777 is quieter than a 727 anywhere hands down.
I thought the B777 -300 was exclusively GE-90 engines, or is there a difference in the 777-300 and the 777-300ER?
Incorrect. Trent 1000's aren't even in service yet. They are proposed for the 787.
These are infact Trent 800's ;)
My mistake, didnt think it mattered on the 300 or 300 ER. Come to think of it they do have the distinct RR sounds.
yeah... sorry I can take wrong about the GE-90 and Rolls Royce Trent 800 engines:P
WHERE YOU IN BUSINESS CLASS ???
@plormitch Wait so the 777-300 has RR Trent 800's but the 777-300 ER is GE90?
where did you fly to?
Where are you headed to?
I hope you didn't spend that month investigating that?!??!
.......He wasn't asked to switch off his electronic equipment, so if that's a fact it's irrelevant, and as it is only a policy not to use your electronic equipment anyway, he wasn't 'breaking any laws'.

The FA's are sitting in their seats they couldn't have seen this.
whats that sound between 4:36 and 4:40, before the full throttle?
They're not GE90's.
-300's are powered with RR Trent 800's.
-300ER's are powered with GE90-115B's.
Watch the nose cone 4:43 WARP DRIVE
I live in Mirdif
And the 777 is quiet next to a 727..??? It's called technology...
RR 800 on everything cept the 77L and 77W with GE90
No those are actually RR Trent 800 series engines.
Most probably GE-90.115B
Oops, sorry if i offended you. I never meant to pass any blame. just thought that i'd share some info.
Just answering your question mate. It's a policy, it is not like he was breaking the law.
I thought that the 300ER only uses te GE90-115B??
I think not a GE-90.115B, But RR Trent 800
1000's actually.
I think that this is a 777-200. i can tell by the wings and emirates 777-300s are powered by ge90 engines, whereas their 777-200s are powered by the trent 800 engines. and this s a trent 800 engine
Whats does "ftw" mean/stand for?
They do.
wath was your destination ??
i don't rly like the emirates 777-300's because i don't like the rolls-royce engines, they seem too small 4 the 300 version
300ER's use GE90-115B
GE90s ftw.
The sound of GE90 is better
TO dusseldorf
Hey! Watch it it Andrewfly24! I am NOT a noob, genius. I am quite intelligent about planes. It was a mistake. Gosh.
that's p0rn :p
