@@plumbranch2493 I do my nails this way and use a nail Bond base and put gel underneath and on top of the nails and they’re pretty strong I can’t tell the difference anymore. This method is very popular in Korea if you search Korean “self nail” videos “셀프 네일” there’s a lot of videos and techniques :)
I have found that etching the underside of the nail tips helps mine last, and not flooding is something I have to work on, but it's great, especially for the price and speed
I use this kit and I’m obsessed. I was doing poly gel for a while and it was just so much work. These are so easy and they last FOREVER. They do soak off as well! After 2 weeks I soak them off and just apply a new set. I have never had one randomly pop off or anything and I work at a grocery store so I’m constantly using my hands.

Beetles also sells big boxes of different gel polishes, they're small bottles but if you like changing colors often they're pretty nice for the price! Some of them even come out decent in 1 coat
Yes! I absolutely love their small bottles bcuz when i have big bottles, they go bad before i can finish them! I have 3 different collections fro them and 1 from modelones(hustbgot it today, so excited!). These are for my personal use, but i even end up using some of the colors for my press on business when i don't have the exact color/dont feel like or can't mix it.
@@leluxemanicurist What did you do for prep, the usual buff, prime and bond? Did you etch the tips? I find when I do all the prep, the nails still pop off after not too long. Also, do you think the "glue" with this is the same as a base gel? Sorry for all the questions :P
@@jemma8925 I use a coarse file on my natural nail but only very lightly and a few strokes to rough the surface. I find using a buffing block makes it too smooth. I then wipe over using either acetone or alcohol to take away any excess dust or oil. Then go in with a dehydrator and primer. I then do a coat of base gel on my natural nail before gluing the tips on with builder gel in a bottle. I think the glue that comes with the kit is slightly thicker than bad gel but I’m not a fan of gluing the tips on with it as I find it too liquid-y. Builder gel in a bottle is a lot thicker and find it much easier to get no bubbles/ lifting. You can etch the tips as well that will also help with adherence 🙂

I use this kit, and im super hard on my nails. I will pop a nail off every few days but they dont snap or break like when i had acrylics. 100% will continue to use this kit over having to get refills every few weeks. Id rather just pop a new nail on then have to go back to the salon to get my entire acrylic redone.
I have one of those little goose-neck lamps and I LOVE it! The way I do my full cover gel tips is flash cure each under the little lamp for maybe 10 seconds, then give the whole hand 60 seconds in my big lamp when they're all on, just to make sure everything is fully cured and solid.
I love this kit!!! With proper prep and the right primer (I use the young nails protein bond) they last for weeks! And it’s so fun painting them and making fun designs with their gel polish. ❤️

okay but what you said about using products io completely and feeling joy from it is SO REAL!!!! i once took a picture of an empty bottle of conditioner because of how proud i was for using every last bit of it. the feeling of satisfaction was amplified by how thick of a conditioner it was, and how small an opening the bottle had.

I love this nail kit been using it for months! For those thinking about getting the kit I do recommend you etch the inside of each nail prior to using the gel glue. Also recommend if you place soak off builder gel as you foundation it will be easier to take off with less damage ok the nail. 10 min soak the builder gel gets gummy and pops right off.
I love my beetles nail kits!! I have the dip powder, a couple of their gel polish sets and this tip and glue set! They’re my favorite. I’m a serious nail bitter so using these plastic things to keep my nails out of my mouth without spending bank at salons. Saved my life. My nails are actually growing now

Also, I also have ADHD, and putting yourself in the mindset of working WITH it instead of against it is such a game changer. I get comments all the time about my methods of doing things being strange but I have found what works for my special little brain and live a lot more comfortably now than I ever did trying to do things "normally." I absolutely love that you are finding ways to work with yourself and finding your own methods. Never forget to give yourself grace, and patience. ❤
I use the this kit & same method with other brands … they usually last me around 2.5 weeks then one pops off.. it’s perfect for someone who wants to change them often but way more durable than press-ons. I ALWAYS etch … started priming the tips as well as natural nail & seems to be helping … I use young nails protein bond .. really focus on cuticle area … you know PROPER nail prep & they do me fine .. but ONLY if I do great nail prep! Oh and I always use base coat before the beetles “nail glue”…. It’s actually one of my ALL TIME favorite adhesive for lazy girl method …. I use my protein bond also. So just to be clear, you do normal prep like you would for a full set, then etch the inside of the full cover tip, use PB on both the natural nail and nail tip then apply the nail glue and cure? I would love to have the ease of not doing fills on myself every 2 weeks anymore 😅

I’ve bought and used this kit once so far. I wasn’t super pleased with the nail tips, but I was really happy with everything else in the kit, especially the nail lamp and how it allows space for both fingers to be placed in while curing. At least until the gel in the nail tip cures with the pressure on it to avoid air bubbles. I have also bought and used Aprés system with their mini light and it’s so hard to turn the lamp on and then go into the light to get both fingers under there with proper light coverage on the nail with the tip. But I seriously love Aprés Gel nail tips and how they feel on my nails after finishing the full set. It’s like they are my own nails, they seamlessly blend into my skin and on my nails so effortlessly. Now I use the beetles lamp with Aprés nail tips and have the best system ever down pat when I do nail tips over my nails. I prefer my natural nail when they are long and stay that way for a while, but they do eventually break, and that’s when I use nails tips until they grow back out again. Thanks for the video, and I LOVED your nail art so much! You were legit as close to the original looking nails that you had mapped out on your phone as you can get imo 😊. I've had this kit about 3 months but only used it once. I actually etched the inside of the tip and they lasted about 3 weeks. The only issue i found, was how bendy the plastic tips are. I ended up 'painting' a layer of ploygel over to give them some strength
That’s the same issue I had! I loved how they looked but any time I went to scratch myself or something they were bending and it gave me the heebie jeebies lol

I love full cover tips. Thats all I do on myself. So quick!! And I always plan out my design on practice tips so I can just get to it. I do alter things sometimes (most of the time 🤭), on at least 1 finger or design. Always etch the underside of the tip. And even though that little lamp held them in place; a full cure in your regular lamp is highly recommended
I literally have this kit on my nails now. I Etch the inside and it tends to help with lifting! I also still put a base down. Mine don’t lift when I do that! You did an amazing job on your nails btw! So beautiful
I find that etching the inside of the nail tips helps it last soooooo much longer. I did one finger testing what would happen if I left the inside of the nails alone, and that is the only nail that has popped off. All my other nails are still completely on and feel strong and it has been 1.5 weeks. The one nail popped off after 1 day.
What I do is file the back side where you going to put the gel glue on it. It last 2 to 3 weeks that way, I like this product very much. The design was super cute 😍.

I used this kit as well and yes it's a good kit. THE KEY to having your nails last you have to prep the tips you're natural nails base coat etc... and they will last! 💅😁🥰

You always amaze me love with such creative nails. I got this kit a couple months ago and still haven’t tried it yet. I’ve been getting nail stuff here and there this past year but I haven’t used any of it on myself yet because I’ve had to give my nails time to heal because I about lost them all and thankfully didn’t and about lost my toe nails too from chemotherapy for the stage 2 triple negative breast cancer that’s I’ve been fighting this past year. All my nails are pretty much healed up so I’m excited to finally do something cute to them. I’ve been watching and learning from your videos and some other creative nail artists I watch here on YT. Thank you for doing these vids sweet pea and know you have someone in southeast Kentucky that admires you and your creative nail work. 💕
I just got the medium almond kit and I love the kit so much! The lamp makes everything so much easier and the tips are the same quality as the Diami Canoe tips.
I bought this kit a couple months ago and found that my nails came off really easy when I hit them really hard. It could have been my own mistake when I applied them. I hope yours last awhile. Also, you did an amazing job on the nail art. WTG Girl !
@@EmilySusanah I learned that the hard way. they seem to stick enough short term without prepping the inside, but I’ve had nails pop off and leave a nice, thick coat of clear gel on my nail lol I guess the one good thing about that though is that they still stick really well, but they’re more likely to separate from the glue than your nail, so that’s less damage for people who work with their hands.

I have this kit because it was on sale at one a couple months ago. The nails def pop off super easy if you don't buff your own nails and the tip as well. The gel polish also chips/rips SUPER easily. Like I can shower and the gel peels right off. I don't mind how short lived the nails will last because one day I want super short nails and the next I'll want long ones for a night out or something.

I have the regular Beetles gel nail kit, I like it a lot. When I saw that set on Amazon, I instantly thought about getting it. I’ll definitely try it after seeing so many videos about them.
I haven’t used this kit, but I use only their gel polish! The big sets come in really tiny bottles which is perfect for me because I rarely do the same color more than a few times and I have a few of their smaller kits with bigger bottles too. They’re such an affordable brand and the polish is definitely great.
I want to try out this kit. I've seen reviews that it's been compared to Apres or the Kiara Sky kit ( I haven't used either of them but I know they're expensive!!!)

I love this kit! Only brand I’ve used that has full cover tips that actually fit my big ol thumbs!! I really wish beetles would release this same type of flexible full cover tips in more shapes!! I know they have other full cover tips shapes, does anyone how the material compares to the ones in this kit? I just love the flexibility and thickness (not too thick or thin) of these ones.
I bought gel nail polish and have been working to do my nails more. The problem I have is time right now, but seeing you do your nails always makes me want to do mine too! Love how these came out and the colors too!
See it’s weird innit because I react to so many brands but Beetles is one of the few that doesn’t bring my hands out in blisters. Their nail polishes are such great value for money. Haven’t tried any of their other products.
I love beetles they’re what I started out using and I still use them as my go to. I haven’t tried their full forms so definitely gonna have to give them a go.

Such an easy kit to use. I have it and have used it quite a bit. Easy for when you need a quick set and don’t have time to sculpt 🙌🏻🧡

I also love the clip on lamp too! It makes it super easy and quick to secure the nails on without air bubbles
I just bought that primer and the set I have on now is holding up so well. I usually chip within two days of applying the gel. It's the best!!!

I've had this kit about 3 months but only used it once. I actually etched the inside of the tip and they lasted about 3 weeks. The only issue i found, was how bendy the plastic tips are. I ended up 'painting' a layer of ploygel over to give them some strength
That’s the same issue I had! I loved how they looked but any time I went to scratch myself or something they were bending and it gave me the heebie jeebies lol
I use them w the femi beauty lazy girl method, use the poly gel under the tip to stick them to your nails 💅🏼
@@marelisaful yes, that's what I've been doing since. But i didnt want to pop them off and ruin my design in the first set 😁 i'm too cheap for that haha

I love full cover tips. Thats all I do on myself. So quick!! And I always plan out my design on practice tips so I can just get to it. I do alter things sometimes (most of the time 🤭), on at least 1 finger or design.
Always etch the underside of the tip. And even though that little lamp held them in place; a full cure in your regular lamp is highly recommended
I literally have this kit on my nails now. I Etch the inside and it tends to help with lifting! I also still put a base down. Mine don’t lift when I do that! You did an amazing job on your nails btw! So beautiful
can i ask whether you use the glue or a base coat as your gel base?

I find that etching the inside of the nail tips helps it last soooooo much longer. I did one finger testing what would happen if I left the inside of the nails alone, and that is the only nail that has popped off. All my other nails are still completely on and feel strong and it has been 1.5 weeks. The one nail popped off after 1 day.

What I do is file the back side where you going to put the gel glue on it. It last 2 to 3 weeks that way, I like this product very much. The design was super cute 😍.

I used this kit as well and yes it's a good kit. THE KEY to having your nails last you have to prep the tips you're natural nails base coat etc... and they will last! 💅😁🥰

also fun tip, if you want to know the fastest way to do a design, try looking up how to paint it in acrylic. this has helped with soooo many sets

You always amaze me love with such creative nails. I got this kit a couple months ago and still haven’t tried it yet. I’ve been getting nail stuff here and there this past year but I haven’t used any of it on myself yet because I’ve had to give my nails time to heal because I about lost them all and thankfully didn’t and about lost my toe nails too from chemotherapy for the stage 2 triple negative breast cancer that’s I’ve been fighting this past year. All my nails are pretty much healed up so I’m excited to finally do something cute to them. I’ve been watching and learning from your videos and some other creative nail artists I watch here on YT. Thank you for doing these vids sweet pea and know you have someone in southeast Kentucky that admires you and your creative nail work. 💕
I just got the medium almond kit and I love the kit so much! The lamp makes everything so much easier and the tips are the same quality as the Diami Canoe tips.
I bought this kit a couple months ago and found that my nails came off really easy when I hit them really hard. It could have been my own mistake when I applied them. I hope yours last awhile. Also, you did an amazing job on the nail art. WTG Girl !
Love this kit! It's the nail version of plug and play. So easy, and with proper prep they last. I get mine to wear for 3-4 weeks.
I would definitely prep the inside of the tip next time!
@@EmilySusanah I learned that the hard way. they seem to stick enough short term without prepping the inside, but I’ve had nails pop off and leave a nice, thick coat of clear gel on my nail lol
I guess the one good thing about that though is that they still stick really well, but they’re more likely to separate from the glue than your nail, so that’s less damage for people who work with their hands.

I have this kit because it was on sale at one a couple months ago. The nails def pop off super easy if you don't buff your own nails and the tip as well. The gel polish also chips/rips SUPER easily. Like I can shower and the gel peels right off. I don't mind how short lived the nails will last because one day I want super short nails and the next I'll want long ones for a night out or something.

I have the regular Beetles gel nail kit, I like it a lot. When I saw that set on Amazon, I instantly thought about getting it. I’ll definitely try it after seeing so many videos about them.
I haven’t used this kit, but I use only their gel polish! The big sets come in really tiny bottles which is perfect for me because I rarely do the same color more than a few times and I have a few of their smaller kits with bigger bottles too. They’re such an affordable brand and the polish is definitely great.
I have the same kit and the same clip on light and I love love love it ! Makes life much easier, you can hang it from anywhere lol 💜💜💜

I have the apres and the beetles one and they work the same!! The beetles one is a good affordable option that worked the same way🙃

When I'm doing something tiny like the smile I prefer to use a tiny dotting tool or even a needle. They are more stable than a brush.

I love this kit! Only brand I’ve used that has full cover tips that actually fit my big ol thumbs!! I really wish beetles would release this same type of flexible full cover tips in more shapes!! I know they have other full cover tips shapes, does anyone how the material compares to the ones in this kit? I just love the flexibility and thickness (not too thick or thin) of these ones.
I bought gel nail polish and have been working to do my nails more. The problem I have is time right now, but seeing you do your nails always makes me want to do mine too! Love how these came out and the colors too!

See it’s weird innit because I react to so many brands but Beetles is one of the few that doesn’t bring my hands out in blisters. Their nail polishes are such great value for money. Haven’t tried any of their other products.
