...does anybody else kind of want a semi-game that let's you explore Coruscant in it's entirety, without truly needing to worry about surviving or fighting the big bad? Just to let you explore just what kind of crazy sights would be there, all the way down to the surface (which I _especially_ want to hear about), and hell, maybe throw in some of the other well-known planets, or the Death Star
That’s basically Cyberpunk 2077 although there’s not as deep of an underground area and the city is much smaller although quite large for a video game.
To the average citizen? Probably nothing most of coruscant's underworld is heavily armed and used to the area. They would have an advantage over the vong. Subjugating coruscant would be impossible since you have thousands of times the manpower of Earth.
김재준 never i assume. Many people had already chosen to forget it by the time of a new hope I guess it just never came up in society at large once the civil war ended

Repulsor tech and super materials. Anytime an X-Wing crashing at almost Mach 1 didn't get a dent from impact and then flew off the same just as good, there construction materials must be like New Magnesium x20 😂😂😂
It think it was a concern a few thousand years before the movies, because the bottom layers were so old they used less sophisticated materials, so they went down there and reinforced it
I actually own that wildlife of Star Wars book you referenced, and remember it had a large section on invasive species in the coruscant ecosystem, with wonderfully disturbing pictures, such as a chimpanzee like thing waiting around a corner about to jump a poor soul just walking along
I honestly love this type of setting, the overgrown slum. Which is exactly the vibe I get from Coruscant’s undercity, it reminds me of the cities from Eastward.
I could see the comments now. Half of them bickering about whether they prefer Disney or Legends canon, and the other half debating whether they prefer Alpha or Beta canon.
Hi! There’s a couple other creatures mentioned in a certain Maul book I haven't read in a while. Premise of the story is that Palpatine sends Maul to retrieve some item and kills a smuggler and a jedi apprentice on coruscants lowest levels after a chase. Another excellent video; one of my favorite things about Eckhartsladder is that he covers obscure and interesting topics at a quality which is unmatched by any other TH-camrs.
I know right !? When Eck boi said ogres I was like "Does he mean Cthons ?" But then he said it 20 more times and explained how they were called that in an actual novel 😁
Can you please do witch sci fi faction has the best planetary based weapon QEP precursors (Subnautica) Mass driver unsc (halo) of Ion cannon (Star Wars)
I don't think he would include subnautica but definitely would be the precursors since that gun has the ability to arc its shots to shoot around the planet and literally incapacitates the giant (Aurora was it? I haven't played in a while) in 1 shot
I'm very intrigued by Coruscant's lower levels. Please do more lore videos about it if you can. For example the lower levels during the republic and the imperial regime .
To be fair they used a terror doctrine. Having a weapon that could destroy a planet every 24 hours is impending doom to most would be rebels on their planet. People knew this and so would've rejected rebel help. Having another death star that could fire every 3 hours, has over 10,000 turbo lasers and was twice the size. As said before it is terror tactics. Also the terror doctrine was created by grand moff Tarkin which he suggested and was accepted (i dont know who accepted) so the first death star was produced. The second death star was produced afterwards to amplify the terror
As Gillad Pellaeon said - it was Palpatine who wanted to exert better personal control of galaxy rather then having to relly on the fleets and other people.
Loved this video and I’d love to hear more about my favorite planet Coruscant, also liked this look at the animals of the Star Wars galaxy similar to that dragons video eck did. Would love more videos about Star Wars creatures
You should do another ship battle specifically the Kedalba class battleship or the mandalorian dreadnought against a similar strength ship of their respective time period
They have to make a Star Wars horror game from this. You start off in a Cantina at level 5. Accidental reasons lead you down to level 1 and you have to fight your way back up from the horrible creatures. You only have a stun baton but eventually find a blaster pistol then a rifle etc lol
How come The Falcon _(and the Naboo Royal Yacht)_ could hyper-limp to the next system; but no further? Are spare tyres only good for 12 parsecs? #AskEck
My guess is that it's because backup hyperdrives tend to be extremely slow, turning a trip that would normally take several hours or days into a several month long crawl. It'd be like trying to drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco with a car that only goes five miles per hour if you're lucky. You'll get there eventually, but you're usually better off just pulling over at the next stop and getting the engine fixed.
@@crabnebula1816 The Falcon has a Class 0.5 primary hyperdrive and a Class 10 backup. Since the class acts as a multiplying factor, which one is used determines whether the trip takes half as long or ten times as long.
Looking at the clips of 1313 just hurts me. Seeing a video game I can never play is just unfair. Especially when it is a star wars game when there are so few good new modern ones out there.
Your mention of RPGs takes me back. In 1977, the only major science fiction RPG was Traveller, and the 'Star Wars sourcebooks' were articles in magazines like White Dwarf (before it became a Games Workshop advert). Oh the youth of today, you don't know how good you have it (well, with the exception of the Disney contributions anyway).
with how much stuff is constantly packed on top Coruscant skyscrapers, how come to the very last levels collapse and destroy the skyscraper or even falling onto another skyscraper creating a domino effect?
This video gave me the idea of a scenario video you should do. A flood breakout on Coruscant. Even one spore in the undercity would be the entire planets downfall. You would see such a quick outbreak that could spiral into a grave mind in a day.
This is such an awesome topic, but I was really hoping u would go into more of the creatures. I’ve heard of about a dozen or so, crazy horrible sounding things, but barely know anymore than what they’re called, so I’d really like to hear more about them.
well there was a Clone Wars episode where the CIS droids infiltrated a power plant. then in the same episode, Padme petitioned for a new bill that would provide more water and electricity to the coruscant citizens.
I particularly liked the adventures in the depths of coruscant during the x-wing book “the kryptos trap”. Though in that it seems they make more monsterous creatures exist in the rubble of the galactic civil war which made more levels unlivable
It’s reasonable to believe there were many force users. Just their stories aren’t focus point. As to hit eye of the empire you have to be pretty good. It was a out liar goal to sow of the Jedi way. Example the blind guy in Star Wars Rogue movie. He had a hint of ability but not high. I could see ventures maybe.
Could you please make a video about living conditions in the Rebel Alliance? How often did the average rebel who wasn't an exiled politician or Jedi go without food, shower, a good night's sleep or medicine? How often were shortages of supplies and equipment?
I remember in one of the old Star Wars novels read as a kid they were going through the old city of Coruscant and there was an ancient ocean down there; when they were crossing a bridge over it one of the characters said to another "Don't fall in," and then a giant sea monster's shadow appeared under the water. Always wondered what could be down there and what that creature must've looked like to this day.
Imagine a Star Wars game inspired by Dead Space where we are a clone trooper that gets deployed to the lower levels of Coruscant by accident and has to blast his way through the upper levels
Well, Rakghouls need food and will die if not fed every here and now. Plus they reproduce through infecting others since a victim's reproductive organs just seem to disappear when they mutate into the Sith Spawn.
