- In this video, I share my thoughts on the recent previews from Warhammer Day 2023, namely the new Bretonnians and the Striking Scorpions from Warhammer 40k.

I’m excited about the releases. I never really had a full Bretonnian army before but this will be a chance to. I’m glad they are putting out bigger boxes, as the blocks of 10 would have been painful
Yes, bigger boxes should ( hopefully) entail some savings.
The most important question, of course, is the question of prices for classic miniatures. Most of my Warhammer collection is just old fantasy on round bases, seriously adapted for the Mortal Realms. I'd want to develop this idea further.
If some starters/armyboxes have a good price, then I can buy them and sell the square bases or exchange them for round ones at a favorable rate.
Square bases look so nice.
I know right?!
Definitely not. I didn't appreciate old fantasy miniatures very much until I saw them on round bases.
I really don't want to re-base my old army... :(
(and no budget for new figurines)
I think I'm going to recycle in KingsofWar which is pretty solid in terms of rules (and their new armies are pretty nice and not expensive at all)
I hear you, maybe we couldook into base extenders.
I don't have any interest in Bretonnia whatsoever, and my interest in Khemri is passing at best, so I'm kinda just looking forward to news that aren't either of those two armies at this point.
I totally feel you. I think I love all of the armies. As long as the sell square bases separately, I think most people will be happy.
More detailed, yes. Unfortunately, all the details are ridiculous and totally out of sync with the rest of the army, including the other new miniatures. If only they looked more like the resin foot standard bearer which is a perfect update to the Bretonnian design. Going to be 3d printing at least replacement heads if I can see a way to scrape off all those awful keys, locks and chains (what do those have to do with Bretonnia?!) and the other unecessary details, otherwise I'll just print the whole mini. Might also not use the old models because the scale difference between the old and new is very jarring.
Yeah, it seems to be a bit of a difference in the scaling. We'll have to see and compare up close to know for sure.
Please, help spanish community to support The Old World in spanish language too as it was when Warhammer Fantasy Battles.
