The reason your lights don't dim up to full brightness is because the SuperFan system ran the lights at 88 volts. The idea was that the lower voltage would prolong the bulb life. The idea being that the homeowner could compensate for the loss of light by using higher wattage bulbs Side note: How do you keep finding all the SuperFans?!
@@whoisthisguy724 this one (and its twin) are the first two I found in the wild. The rest I’ve bought/traded from other collectors. Going in I had no idea there was a second one, which certainly made the long drive worth my while.
