Fr. Tom, respectfully, the start of KofC had nothing to do with men joining Freemasonry and being led astray. In a nutshell, Blessed Michael McGivney recognized the need for a fund to take care of the widows and children of the men working dangerous jobs who lost their lives prematurely. A small group at St. Mary's "passed the hat" around and from that our great fraternal organization was born.

The KofC website literally has the very thing Fr. Tom speaks of on their website under the history tab "Our Founding".

@4:00 "They believe in reason and reason alone". That's a non-statement. It doesn't mean anything. "A rejection of tradition...of divine revelation...that cannot be verified through human reason and reason alone".
    Utterly and completely false.
    1. Freemasonry is BUILT on tradition. The Anderson Constitutions, first published in 1723 by The Rev. James Anderson, stated that these principles and tenets cannot ever be changed. How's THAT for Tradition? A lot of our ceremony consists of archaic language. Tradition!
    2. Men in Freemasonry are encouraged to be active within whatever faith they choose and at NO POINT are they told their beliefs must align with human reason. At NO POINT is any Mason directed what to think when it comes to faith.
Interesting how these characters come out with all sorts of accusations but never ever back it up with evidence. And they don't go in for specifics either. They know that if they DID mention specifics, it would be far far easier to prove their lies. They generalise, because they have zero evidence of anything. They engage in tittle tattle and gossip, because they know small minded, gullible people will hang on their every word and attend church, giving donation after donation. Yes boys and girls it's all about the cash at the end of the day.
A man of the cloth breaking the 9th commandment? Typical.
