Just bought a „Mulchmaster“ HM 46A with a battery powered Briggs and Stratton 82V (72 volt really 😅) Powerhead, the ugly german cousin of grin. (PM means the mover in the video is a machine for professionals, mine HM is for home use). The mover feels like a tank on the lawn and the mulching result is awesome. Absolutely loving it. Thanks for the video.
@@johnmosesbrowning1855 You’re welcome.hope it helped. The ugly cousin! Crikey how bad can it be by comparison 🤣😉. You can also see some additional update videos on the channel. Happy mowing!
Very well presented. Almost captivating! A couple off points. The 3mm thick steel deck is lacquered on the underside forextra protection. However, my machine only managed 3 months of use before it began 'delaminating'. No such problems with my Stihl aluminium deck, Kohler engined, 3 speed mulcher. The grin blade will 'bust the bank' if you seriously damage it. And just you try and sharpen it's convoluted wavy cutting edge! As for the height adjuster, in my case, 5 levels of adjustment (instead of 4) are desired. My most used setting has the long control arm positioned in the vertical position. This is a real pain in the arse as it almost always snags the lower branches of my shrubs, and some trees, with their frequent breakage. I have the 46 cm Grin, and, the cheap, thin, flimsy, height connector adjustment 'strips', still feature, including the rivets, but, don't flex so alarmingly. Those on my 53cm Stihl are much more 'muscular' in comparison. Overall, the Grin mulches as good as any machine. My Stihl is around 90 - 95% as good, which is perfectly acceptable, has a deck that won't rust, has a blade that can be sharpened, or replaced at modest cost, has 3 speed selection, sturdier components, and is better value for money. My Grin is good, but it is not great. I conclude that it is, in my opinion over-priced. German Sabo Pro 53 would be my choice. I
@@johnboluski-zl1qn Thanks for your comment it’s appreciated along with the additional shared details, very interesting 👍 check out parts 2/3 as I get more in tune with the machine. Let me know what you think 👍
Have a Kawasaki engine on Toro Turfmaster,(fast ground speed). and also using Stiga Multiclip 50 Rental mulcher.Probably not as good mulching as Grin, but very reliable, and bought used,at half new price. Also have Klippo mulcher, with swing cutters, which is very good.
