After finishing this series and onto the movie right after, I braved the city centre’s traffic literally the next day for 2 hours to meet up with a crush, had dinner together and confessed my feelings for him which I’ve kept bottled up for more than a year. Nevertheless, returned with disappointments for being a little too late. Apparently, he had the same feelings for me too but we both were not brave enough to tell how we felt for each other back then. He’s with someone else now. Despite that, this series gave me the courage to do something I’ve never done before in my life and I’m glad I did it. THANK YOU BLACK SHEEP! Sending my ❤️ all the way from Malaysia!

The scene that Mico told Xavier about his feelings is so touching, reminded me alot when I confessed my feeling towards my boss before I quitted the job. I told him that "I had a crush on you, I liked your smile and loved to see you around & you brought to me so many memories that was hard to forget. But I know you already have [Family] & I just want to tell all this feeling because it is better to let it out and keep our friendship/ brothership. I am sorry for maybe making this situation harder but I don't want to keep it. Thank you for listening."
After that, he glad that I could tell my true feeling (and he didn't even deny). But I was deciding to quit the job after because of over-working that affect negatively to my mental health. I have to stop and find a less pressure job to make me happier.
All the call from Mico and Xavier also deeply reminded me about the time I had a long distance relationship. We were calling each others almost every nights and days. Although we were broken up back in 2017, I still hold our images. Good memories.
So this is what a great script, honest relationship interaction that progresses from a glance to a full blown appreciation of your significant other..to a real meaningful bond looks like in a BL drama! Flawless!! Great acting!! Honest chemistry..and above all, a storyline that makes sense!! Well done! No need for the awkward steering, falling into eachother's arms after a trip, random rain fall, or the most annoying..fake kiss with the cutaway! Just an honest relationship between two individuals who grew to love eachother! I shipppp!!!
No fetishizing gay relationship, no oversexualizing scene, just pure love, alot of education, breaking the stereotypes, and really bringing back our (LGBTQ+) story.
Thnx to all of you, the cast the actors, the director, he was or is amazing, also the script writer...wonderful work ..... I am your fan....waiting for the movie... even if Mr. Lambrusco said JC and him didn t match, they were perfect and had a wonderful chemistry......it was amazing....

How coincidental, isn't it? :-) I fully agree with your comments though. No fetishizing and no oversexualizing. Those are primarily why I loved this series -- the subtleties. The 'kiss' that others were looking for, in my personal opinion, is unnecessary.

Yes. you should also Check "Gaya sa Pelikula" It's a Masterpecice. Filipino BLs really represent the LGBTQ+ Community.
This series is one of the sweetest, delicate and simplest ones I've seen so far from BLs. The story wasn't exaggerated, it was executed with a simple plot and we didn't get an annoying villain to make the leads miserable. She also turned out to be a sweetheart ☺️
Mico's and Xavier's chemistry was undeniable. I felt the intimacy through their virtual conversations and actions. Their eyes did most of the talking. This proves that you always don't need to see anything physical to feel the emotions. They portrayed their characters so well. I was happy when they were happy, I felt their tears when they cried. The confusion, the anger, the heaviness in your heart when you can't help your feelings cz you have no idea what the other feels! Oh the misery I went through while waiting for them to confess.
They ended the last episode so well. I don't mind them not giving us a kiss, it was their first proper meet up, both of them still new to these feelings and still discovering themselves. So you just can't expect them to shove their tongues down each other's throats on the first meet up 😂 rather I loved how subtle and fulfilling it was. Xavier singing to Mico was the most uwuest thing I saw and Mico joining him and saying "I love You" first was the cherry on top! That whole scene gave me butterflies 😂 The hug was so sweet and so intimate. I felt the yearning! You can say it was a good start for their new journey together.
I loved how supportive their friends were, especially Junjun. He's such cutie pie 😍
I heard we'll get a movie. Super excited for that. I'd like to see how our leads develop their relationship together. Also more story on Kookai and Steph also a love interest for Jun.
Overall the production was amazing! I'm really impressed with this BL. It's refreshing to see a BL other than Thai. Philippines have really shown their potential.

can we just appreciate that the accompanying music matches the key they are singing in which means they had that playing while filming (extremely unlikely) or they had him listen to the key before hand so it matches or they put that in later based on what he sang which in my opinion is probably what they did considering how the chords fall in the right places so glad they went that extra mile

I want to thank the creators and actors for this series. As a gay man it was very difficult for me to get into BL series because they always felt a little bit unrealistic, a bit fetishizing, a bit melodramatic and sensationalistic... and they always felt like they were made from ladies for ladies, not really for gay men.
But "Hello Stranger" is just *chef's kiss*! Everything was so sweet and quiet and right and almost realistic, like a proper romance happening in the real world, with no toxic elements and forced drama.
My husband and I are watching it together!
I'm gonna try a couple of more BL series if they can also be like this! :D
P.S. I came for Xavier's thighs, I stayed for Mico's teary eyes :3

Gaya Sa Pelikula/Like In The Movies is a great BL and also Gameboys and Stuck On You. Sadly these are the only recommendation I can give because I am just starting to watch BL series and a lot of Thai series turns me off with all the cliche, fetishization, and stereotyping. But hopefully that will change in the future.

That one hug at the end is better than a million kissing scene I felt the love and the warmth Xavier has for mico and when he wiped his tears and how shy and cute mico was never seen a confession scene more beautiful than this them singing a song with lyrics portraying their story and each of them saying I love you to the other and then saying it together I won't ever get tired of watching this series.
I know most everyone is always hoping kisses, but I think this went as it should.

Incredible. Simply beautiful and excellent in all forms. I just loved how the story was not about being gay or discovering that you're gay but just about falling in live and being in love...almost as if sexuality was never an issue in the world created. Can't wait for more.

The ending is probably the most realistic thing I've seen so far, cause they are both so embarrassed when they meet, like they want to get closer but they're not used to their phisical presence. At last, I understand why this series title is "Hello, Stranger". Mico & Xavier didn't know each other and even themselves. They met each other and could realize who they really are. In the last scene, they can finally greet one another with their names. Because they accept their feelings and identity, they can grow up and get their man.
Watching this series was really funny, enjoyable, sad and happy. You make me think many things about myself. Thank you, Black Sheep.

When the producer said they are going to produce a BL story that has the PINOY sensibilities and how Pinoys fall in love, I really felt they achieved it. Filipino story telling traditionally is subtle, shows purity in loving. Uniquely PINOY.

Hi guys, greetings from Italy :) I discovered this amazing series yesterday and binged thru all episodes. I enjoyed it so much: the acting, photography, writing etc. Everything looked so honest and well portrayed, it put me on a roller coaster of emotions. I look forward to watch the movie and really hope there will be a second season where Xavier and Mico will go to live together :)

This series was only 8 episodes and I feel like I've gone through the entire journey of self discovery, love, pain and the emotional effects that come along with it! I surrender black sheep! Thank you guys for a quality production. They didn't need to kiss in the end, that would've been too cliché. Did I just binge this whole show in less than 2 1/2 hours? yes, yes I did. Am I about to binge season two and then season three? yes, yes I am.
The acting and script were amazing. I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy the use of face time and texts, but I quickly got drawn into the story. I actually teared up in places. I could empathize with the pain Xavier and Mico felt as they struggled with the feelings for each other. A well-done series!

Idk if it's just me, but every time I watch romance about same boys, what I only always get is that it is more of the character approach of them than the story, idk I think I just have an high standards to story more than the character. So in the kind of reverse, when it comes to same girls love story, I feel nothing about the character (just respectly watching) but the story reaches me.
In short it's like when in two boys, what only captivated me is that the 'cuteness approach' of the character and the story is 'still' simple for me, (idk I haven't really encountered a story of it that really satisfied me, it's just their chemistry). While in two girls is really the story itself and not their approach as character (well I think I'm not just fond of it) but really satisfied me.

I feel like the expressed more without kissing than if they had kissed. That hug at the end speaks volumes of how much Xavier and Mico had grown since they started the project. They held each other tightly and Mico cried while Xavier smiled happily and i just.... bravo, honestly I love this series 💜

I'm late to the party for sure, because I just found this show on TH-cam a week ago. I just want to say that I found Mico's big confession here a bit contrived. For me, the scene where they did their presentation for the class had 10 times more emotional punch because the lines talked all around the big issue, but even more because both of them got to speak. Both Mico and Xavier played a part in making this situation such a mess, so both of them deserve a voice in trying to explain it. But full props to Tony as Xavier for conveying so much of the character's pain when he doesn't get to speak in this scene and when he can't even bring himself to say the scary words to Mico yet -- "I like you" or even "I love you."
I do agree with this. That part felt forced to me. Like someone just threw it in the script for a last minute revision on the part of either the director or the writer. But I can forgive it because of how Xavier was able to convey his acting without uttering a single word.

Well, i just love how filipino scratch that kind of story and show us the real side of it. Again, no bed scene, no kissing.. they just stare at each other, smile at each other, hug each other and thats it.. and you feel the LOVE, SINCERITY AND LONGINGNESS. I love it! 10/10 for me 😊

Everyone is complaining that there is no kiss......but I think we have forgotten the background of this series.... Love during lockdown..right???almost all of their conversations were through video calling....there are barely physically comfortable with each other....have not yet held hands together in public.....not to mention...this is Mico's first relationship and a new sexual awakening for both Xavier and Mico...so, those warm hugs & dreamy looks are jusstttt perfect...infact a kiss at this point would have seemed forced....so, I am perfectly content with the ending.... Those two have nailed their parts.....so., good job....and loads of love.....😍😍😍😍

It's so neat that Jun is just out here being the master of empathy and fixing everyone's emotional and relationship problems with his wisdom. ie. just asking gentle questions and letting them all figure it out for themselves.
It's a frequent character type but usually it's a much older person who gives that kind of empathy and wisdom. I loved the character too!

Omg ! A slap in my face with this serie ! 😮😍 I was like "again, a serie about containment, chit-chat behind computers, love story with a poor story"... well, not at all !! All the contrary ! The actors are very good, the story is consistent; i cried through the evolution of Miko and Xavier's relationship... i think i lost my heart with Miko's first tears 🥹 Anyway, thank you for this serie, it was a real pleasure to watch it 🙏 💙💚🍬🇫🇷 (3 years later, still positive effect on people 😏)
