- Episode 1: Love Returns
Ben, a 23 year old guy who lives alone, is supposed to graduate from college after 8 years, but then the pandemic happens. As soon as the lockdown starts, he begins selling online to pay bills and prove his parents, who already reside in the US, that he can make it here alone. Then, he learns from his next door neighbor’s housekeeper that his childhood friend, who he had been harboring deep feelings for, will return to spend the lockdown. Suddenly, memories of old feelings return to him, making him anxious about how it’s going to be between them this time.

Had the same experience with ben. for almost 4 months I was staying at my apartment, having no work (ECQ). Imagine all the gastos with food and rent, it's not going anywhere and I don't want to be in debt with the landlord so even though we are in quarantine I still update my payment. I was really greatful to my friends and co worker that despite the pandemic they never cease to help me, they were really generous, both in food and in cash. Imagine, we are all in lockdown, no work and yet these people are being self less.

You know it's really interesting when ben was talking to himself in the mirror trying to decide which character that's going to meet jim and that's honestly so relatable when we are about to meet up with someone for the first time or after along time we be nervous and try to prepare ourselves making scenarios but when the moment comes all that disappears and only the real you stays.

COVID-19 has been with us for almost a year now and it's interesting that when looking at all the countries producing BL series, it's really only the Philippines that is using the pandemic as a central theme in the plots. This is another such series which just completed its first season on TH-cam and the only reason I haven't watched it yet is the proliferation of BL videos from all over the place that have come out since July 2020, when a surge of Filipino series at the rate of two a week for a while began on TH-cam. The first episode of BEN X JIM introduces us to Ben and the anticipation of meeting up with his childhood friend Jim grows and grows until he suddenly appears at the end. Looks as though it won't be smooth sailing for their romance so as choppy as it may be, I shall look forward to following it.

Hi Warren, been seeing your comments on BL videos for quite a while now. Yours is one of the comments that I look forward to reading because you really put things into perspective. I wonder if you've already watched Gaya Sa Pelikula (Like in the Movies)? If you haven't, then I highly recommend you do. It is a very refreshing take on the genre and should be the gold standard for future producers who want to make BL stories. If you HAVE watched it though, then TH-cam has to answer to me because I can't find your comments and I need those to give me life. LOL. 😅

I have watched few PINOY BL series, Ben's character is the one that I'm waiting as an addition to the different representation of the gay community, with respect to the rest of the characters of other series who are straight acting gay and I have no problem with that. I was looking for a representation of the other personalities and this is a pleasant surprise , finally someone is playing that role and I'm sure , whoever is reading this comment can somehow relate to Ben's personality. That we have missed from other stories .

Done watching ep1 and I can confidently say it's one of the best pilots of this season great introduction to ben his life and his character also we got to know a little about jim and their background, love ben's friend and tbh I want to thank filipino bl writers for not stereotyping girls as b*tchy and mean as all those other BLs from different countries they are presenting them as supportive and successful with more depth into their characters.. Anyways to not talk too much amazing cast great script and promising storyline looking forward to see where will it take us kudos to the makers of this project you had me hooked.
