Yeah he has a strange personality…a bit confrontational, argumentative and opinionated with plenty of hubris splashed in there… however I just bought a modern eagle 5 and that thing is easily the most comfortable playing guitar I own or ever played! So I can’t argue with his results.
Never. Everyone knows.. Ukraine's youth is being used as a money grabbing scam.. Did you know that only 16 billion goes to Ukraine from this last bill?? This is about politics and lobbies, In the end USA will do what it always does, pack all their shit and leave. AND YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK @@yayayaokoksure
Jack rightfully deserves kudos for his brilliant playing, but he also does the best PRS interviews. I think Paul really respects Jacks playing too. Maybe that softens up Paul to talk more.
haha even Paul himself said "well done Jack" at the end of the interview... he knows he's a handful haha. Love that guitar! And would very much like to try out that amp too.
This is BRILLIANT. Keeping Paul honest when he goes off on the riffs to eloquently not answer the question (and I am a fan of his products, his work and his key messaging). Well done Jack - best interview with Paul ever.
As everyone else has said, that was THE best PRS interview, ever (my view) - Jack, you walked the impossible tightrope with phenomenal skill, and as Paul said, well done!!
The oversized headstock is KILLER. It's always been the biggest hangup for me about the PRS headstock. The larger size should be the standard on all models going forward. Absolutely gorgeous guitar.
Wow Jack, what a great premiere to the gear of legends. Good job! Robben Ford, Jimi Hendrix with a cameo by Paul himself and an anecdote about Eric Johnson. That's a 100 watt stack right there.
Jack is an excellent interview. Also, the fact that Paul said he made a mistake by not giving Robben his guitar in the past is very telling. Most super successful people never admit a mistake but Paul is humble. Another reason I think he makes the best guitars...
The mysterious SWITCH - Paul wouldn't really tell , ha .... My guess is this : he has coupled the tapped output wires from the pups to an extra cap so that the pickup "sees" the right pot-capacitance and then sounds like a dedicated single coil, not like the usual split humbucker that goes to the same pot as before and therefor sounds way too shrill and lame. No Voodoo at play here, just a knowledgeable (and well-briefed/prepared) player and a clever maker talking one on one.
Fabulous job! I’ve been a Robben fan since Talk to you daughter (1988). I’m not a PRS fan but I’m excited about this guitar. I loved how honest Paul was about working with Robben and why he didn’t have a signature guitar years ago.
This is a really cool interview, one of the best i've watched in a while. Paul is one super dude, and his sheer history is enough to impress the most jaded among us. I had no idea he was working with Robben again. A custom PRS for Mr. Ford ... that caught my attention. Paul and Jack make for a great combination too. Jack is one of the best TH-camr's around and is wonderfully musical. Great post, thanks.
I LOVE my Gibsons Fenders . Been blessed through the Years. PRS have there place. 594 is real nice . I feel they nailed it. Just picked up Modern Eagle V. I love it. Still have Hollow Body ll. But I gravitate back to Strats , Tele. Les Paul's. I try to always have Open Mind. I like Modern in the mix as well as Vintage. Paul keep pressing on.
That amp sounds nice clean. And it sounds like it would let me sound like me. I want to plug in a guitar with a humbucker and play Joe Walsh and Rush style riffs through it, and it seems like that amp would crunch nicely on lower notes and power chords, but stay clean and defined if I play an arpeggio of a chord with a lighter touch. That guitar nails the tones on Robben Ford & The Blue Line.
I’ve seen another interview Jack did with Paul (maybe at NAMM?) where Paul was tricky as hell. This is totally different. Partly because of Jack’s interview style, partly because of his amazing playing, and maybe also because Peach sell a lot of PRS guitars.
I have had a McCarty since 05. Never thought I needed another PRS. Might need one now lol. Really hope this is a big improvement. Not a huge Robin fan but love the design of this one.
Dang , Paul not easy … Good job Jack! /// “If your dreams come true and Paul wants to make a guitar for you and ask you how do you want it, your answer: Yes.”
Sir Paul is in my opinion a genius,a lifetime of research and development of guitars and related gear, plus the personality to promote his wares, what a guy!
First - Great job Jack. On the amp - I'm not hearing this 'ghost note' beyond the norm of a cranked amp. I've tried it on my Deluxe Reverb, Super Reverb, and my plexi RI, and I always hear overtones when they're loud. Also, I was hearing Clapton tone from that rig more than Hendrix - which definitely isn't a bad thing.
Speaking for myself, i love the sound on the records i grew up with. I WANT some of that Hendrix magic, i WANT some of that ACDC magic. The more inspired i am to play, the better i play. My voice is a mix of the music i listened to and bonded with 🤙🏼
I need this amp, sounds fantastic! I always wanted something like that, really excited about the master volume, since I also want to use it at home and ditch the attenuator for once.
Great playing as usual Jack and nice interview (we all know… 😉). The last demo with the volume up at full reminded me of Clapton’s woman tone. Certainly a guitar worth trying but the amp was the star of the show here for me.
I have a opportunity to get one of the Robben Ford Signature but already have a '17 McCarty 594. It's hard to hear a difference between my McCarty through my amp at home and the Robben Ford through the HDRX 20. What's the tonal difference, really, between the McCarty and the RF? In guessing the HB tone is very similar from what I'm hearing in this video. The RF has a fancy coil tap, but the McCarty taps the coils brilliantly, IMO. So why is the RF different? Any input would be greatly appreciated! (Especially from Jack, haha)
First off, I love Paul. He does have his quirks. Watching him often, I notice he looks down and away -a lot… when talking. Just in this video he was looking down for over - total of 6 minutes.
Great great job Jack. Really…. btw, there is a you tube video, recorded recently in Finland, where Robben plays this guitar. Hate to admit it, but it sounded amazing. At the next concert he played his Tele, really amazing too. Offcourse Robben can make most guitars sound great, I like the good old Tele sound though…
Really keen on that 20 watt. I am confused ( but pleased ) with the price though. The other 2 are 2.5 - 3k this amp is same price as the Marshall studio series. So what makes it so much less then those mega money amps?? The price structure is really weird. Like Soldano recent lower wattage amp is still very expensive.
I have two of his early McCarty P90 guitars. One is very 'tuxedo' like the RF, and the other an all-mahogany P90 trem (never seen another like it). They're flawless save for the characterless SD pickups now replaced with BKs. Intonation and tuning stability is wonderful. And for all that I still reach for my 94 reissue 54 Strat. If I could ask him one question it would be: Why are your 594 bridge posts as sharp as razor blades? Not the only reason I didn't keep mine, but a glaring fault.
Hi There! There’s actually no green screen use in any of our videos! Everything you see is filmed in our purpose built recording studio, or within the Peach Guitars saloon!
Great interview, beautifully handled by Jack, especially considering the infamous NAMM interview from a while back!. At the end I thought Jack looked like he needed a lie down and a Scotch having made it through unscathed! Now I'd like to hear separate demos of both the guitar and the amp, all set how Jack sees fit to set them. I didn't think he seemed that comfortable with either the amp or the guitar in the middle of the interview setting, somehow not really getting the best out of either piece of equipment, which is what Jack otherwise always does!
Jack: Hope you had a nice flight over Paul: IM NOT NOT BUYING ROCKETS OR HYUNDAIS ON THURSDAYS, JACK! IM LOOKING AT SCHEMATICS OF REFRIGERATORS AND FINDING OUT THE SECRETS OF THE MAYANS!
I don't get why people think that Paul is "challenging" or needs to be "handled". It is honestly all in your heads. Paul is the most down to earth nicest person. Just use your brain and be genuine and honest with him.
Paul can be a challenging interview. 😅 Well conducted Jack!
Really challenging… always keeping you on your toes and not letting anything slide
Just a bit of a jerk
Yeah he has a strange personality…a bit confrontational, argumentative and opinionated with plenty of hubris splashed in there… however I just bought a modern eagle 5 and that thing is easily the most comfortable playing guitar I own or ever played! So I can’t argue with his results.
Challenging to say the least! He is hard work. I like PRS guitars, but man he actually puts me off them.
They probably draw straws to see who has to interview PRS.
Short straw has to interview.
Jack has quickly become one of my favorite interviewers great job 👏
That’s the best interview I’ve seen with Paul. Well done.
F Ukraine!
When yall gonna win that war?
Never. Everyone knows.. Ukraine's youth is being used as a money grabbing scam..

Paul is a wonderful challenging character, this is one of the best interviews I’ve seen! Great job
Wow Jack's in depth knowledge pulls out another dimension out of Paul. Just an amazing conversation.
Have to say; Jack came prepared for Paul's interview style and it shows.
This is possibly the best interview I've seen with Paul
Jack rightfully deserves kudos for his brilliant playing, but he also does the best PRS interviews. I think Paul really respects Jacks playing too. Maybe that softens up Paul to talk more.
Jack, superb interview. It's taken decades of buying 60 year old designs for me to realise PRS makes stuff that just works.
Great interview. And your playing is always special. And Paul knows it and highly respects the way you play, which is something to be very proud of!
haha even Paul himself said "well done Jack" at the end of the interview... he knows he's a handful haha. Love that guitar! And would very much like to try out that amp too.
Kudos to Jack. This is a very good interview. PRS is not annoyed and doesn't annoy us listeners ;)
What a feat Peach and particularly Jack have pulled off with this video here.
Playing Robben Ford’s new guitar in front of Paul himself 😮💨 👌
Amazing interview Jack! I believe Paul showed a great respect for you
The oversized headstock is KILLER. It's always been the biggest hangup for me about the PRS headstock. The larger size should be the standard on all models going forward. Absolutely gorgeous guitar.

I don’t quite understand. An extra cap?
I'm just gonna wait for someone to reverse engineering that secret switch and do video on it.
Best demo of this amp I have seen.
Paul seems like a great dude, frikkin funny, honest and unapologetically himself 😎😎😎
Fabulous job! I’ve been a Robben fan since Talk to you daughter (1988). I’m not a PRS fan but I’m excited about this guitar. I loved how honest Paul was about working with Robben and why he didn’t have a signature guitar years ago.
What’s great about. Prs. Is no problem s frets. Intonation. For some. Doesn’t have the cool. Factor of a strat. But. The are solid play rite
Eric Johnson could hear a mouse sneeze on the moon and tell u if it was sick or if it was alergies.
This is a really cool interview, one of the best i've watched in a while. Paul is one super dude, and his sheer history is enough to impress the most jaded among us. Something about the sound on that guitar, very nice.
Jack kept it professional, on point and he played phenomenally. My respect to you good sir.
I LOVE my Gibsons
Fenders .
Been blessed through the Years.
PRS have there place.
594 is real nice .
I feel they nailed it.
Just picked up Modern Eagle V.

Paul keep pressing on.
Paul is a straight shooter. Great to see his passion for his work! Amazing tone from the Hendrix amp and Robben’s guitar . Im getting moist!
I heard Ford live in Toledo a few years ago. THE best sounding les Paul I've ever heard. Awesome tone
This was a great interview, Jack. Well done!
Paul's work is just amazing !!!
Jack you did a great job here, difficult to interview PRS 😂, interesting episode. 👏🏻👍🏻
Lots of clarity for a humbucker!! Amazing
Try oars ce semi hollow 24
Excellent interview Jack! You should be the Official Paul interviewer!
Great job with this interview, I love Paul's vibe, haha... He makes me laugh.. cool products. Mt15 vs hdrx20... Looking for that video
I’ve seen another interview Jack did with Paul (maybe at NAMM?) where Paul was tricky as hell. This is totally different. Partly because of Jack’s interview style, partly because of his amazing playing, and maybe also because Peach sell a lot of PRS guitars.
i like, when the interviewer has balls. nice done.
gezz about time,,,,a real honest interview
I have had a McCarty since 05. Never thought I needed another PRS. Might need one now lol. Really hope this is a big improvement. Not a huge Robin fan but love the design of this one.
Wow! How you were able to keep him wrangled in was truly a feat! 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Great interview! 🎉 PRS have always been my favourite for split cool tones, and these sound fantastic to my ears
What an INCREDIBLE player. Man this cat can play!
If this is your first time seeing Jack then, trust me, your mind has still to be blown. His range is vast!
Played one recently and I’m definitely getting one very soon. It’s so good ! For reels
Wow! Paul's got some chops!
I like you asked honest questions and you wanted Paul to back up and clarify what he was saying. And he did.
These 2 guys rock together.
Do you have any idea if PRS will launch the pickups as a separate product? Thank you!
Dang , Paul not easy … Good job Jack! ///
“If your dreams come true and Paul wants to make a guitar for you and ask you how do you want it, your answer: Yes.”
Wow! great interview. I was really amazed when Jack wanted to crank the amp up. Saw two boys geeking out! Great video!
Jack is a legend. Eye opening interview.
Sir Paul is in my opinion a genius,a lifetime of research and development of guitars and related gear, plus the personality to promote his wares, what a guy!
PRS - such a passion for what he does.
Oh my - Jack playing the amp dimed!!! 🤩
First - Great job Jack.

Also, I was hearing Clapton tone from that rig more than Hendrix - which definitely isn't a bad thing.
What cab and speakers was the PRS HDRX 20 plugged into? 👍
I love that you asked some tough questions & didn’t just agree with everything Paul said.
Jack love your guitar playing & great interview! Bravo!
Yup, I'd love to get my hands on the 20 watter.
Beautiful guitar. I'm gassing for a black McCarty 594, but would consider this.
Speaking for myself, i love the sound on the records i grew up with. I WANT some of that Hendrix magic, i WANT some of that ACDC magic. The more inspired i am to play, the better i play.
My voice is a mix of the music i listened to and bonded with 🤙🏼
Best ever interview with PRS, 1000% to Jack
I need this amp, sounds fantastic! I always wanted something like that, really excited about the master volume, since I also want to use it at home and ditch the attenuator for once.
Great playing as usual Jack and nice interview (we all know… 😉). The last demo with the volume up at full reminded me of Clapton’s woman tone. Certainly a guitar worth trying but the amp was the star of the show here for me.
I agree with the others below, great interview and Jack has got talent on interviewing here
Great interview Jack.
Amp and guitar sounds good.
I’ll save up for both i spose.
Greetings from NZ 😎🎸🤘
I just love Paul. He’s a great American artist and businessman. I need another PRS
Great interview, thanks Jack!
Will the neck break like it did on Herman's guitar or did they fix that problem?
I think if you put your knee through the neck join of most guitars and you're going to face the same issue!
What a guitar!
Wow! Great interview and what a legend.
Amazing how much difference that wrap-around Aluminum bridge makes. I can hear why Ford likes the guitar. It's bright, but sweet.
I have a opportunity to get one of the Robben Ford Signature but already have a '17 McCarty 594. It's hard to hear a difference between my McCarty through my amp at home and the Robben Ford through the HDRX 20. What's the tonal difference, really, between the McCarty and the RF? What is the best cabinet to play that through?
I've always heard that synth'y double-note on a bend through a loud head/cab with gain dined up pretty high. Cool video!
Its made in Indonesia
So is Ceritone so thats no knock.
Great interview --- super cool 🤘🤘Rock on
great interview

Next-Mayer 20w amp?
I just realied this was shot with a green screen... crazy.
It took me a min to realize!
Hi There!

Love the sound that Amp puts out. Definitely want one 😊
I want one. Great 👍 job Jack
Dude, I want this axe! Is it true bypass? Gig bag friendly? Marshall compatible? Asking for a friend
Excellent interview!
Love this creation, might be next buy
Jack you handled that with aplomb. Very impressive.
Great interview, beautifully handled by Jack, especially considering the infamous NAMM interview from a while back!. At the end I thought Jack looked like he needed a lie down and a Scotch having made it through unscathed!

That amp sounds great pinned, well done Paul.
Good interview. He is a handful. You have to give Paul slack because..... He is Paul😁
2 Watt? Yep bring it on. I’m interested!
Guitar sounds great, but I got an SG and absolutely love it.
I don't get why people think that Paul is "challenging" or needs to be "handled". It is honestly all in your heads. Paul is the most down to earth nicest person. Just use your brain and be genuine and honest with him.
Well done Jack, Paul can be slippery :)
I got the 100w and it’s just constantly blowing power tubes😭
Hopefully the 20w plays a lot nicer!
