Buying their products for many years while traveling in Asia. I’m exited that they have just opened two stores in the Dallas area where I live! Uniqlo, a good brand!
When I visit malls in Malaysia, I always make a beeline for Uniqlo. The staff is super friendly, and I always joke with them when I enter the store by saying, ‘Welcome to Uniqlo!’ before they did, Their discount rack clothing is a steal!
The best commentary telling the story of a super brand. The Japanese learn from failures and get better that’s their mantra UniQlo best value for practical and sustainable clothing My fav brand. Id rather be proud wearing a Uniqlo display T-shirt than an over priced Versace
I shopped at the very first Uniqlo in NJ at Menlo Park Mall. The quality back then was amazing. It's still good but the items I bought back then, compared to now are thicker and have lasted... and prices obviously were a lot better. Prices in Japan are 1/3rd of what they are in the US which hurts the wallet a bit but my main request is that Uniqlo bring back its old return in store for online shopping policy. Not every store carries all the collections and sizing isn't always accurate online. Paying $7.95 to return/exchange an item or having to drive/waste gas is really inconvenient. I'd shop far more if they brought back the old return in store policy for online shopping.
Uniqlo’s quality totally beats Zara’s, but I just can’t trust those used clothing recycling programs offered by clothing companies. It honestly feels like a scam! Most of those clothes just end up in landfills, and there are way too many out there for everyone. It’s such a mess!
They are minimalist by design. You can guarantee a basic in decent quality. Also i can always find the exact colour of socks as they have such a huge range of choice for men. They even display the colours in order from white to black and a clever range with a good choice of colour
9:30 doesn't make sense about learning from failure. You mention the company simply "doubled down on its philosophy of high quality basics that never go out of style". So, this is not adapting to the US and UK markets, it's just reinforcing its own basic style without following the trends. Is this learning from failure? 🤔
Very successful in Thailand 🇹🇭 and seems that way in China 🇨🇳 the heat tech works well in Japan 🇯🇵 when temperatures change daily. Bought the stock but not up yet. 😂not sure what is puff tech 😂
Uniqlo is not so affordable for a simple T - shirt (London). I have not been in Japan since the Covid, also I heard that it is more affordable and their quality in Japan is better? Their simple design is what I like. Quality wise? not sure about their cashmere jumpers....
Yeah, but if you just stop and think about that for even a few seconds that's actually pretty par for the course for any company in their specific position....!?! Y'know, given that the clothes are designed and manufactured in Japan....?! That little fact right there means that when they sell locally in Japan, they haven't had to pay out God alone knows how much money on the various massive overhead operational costs that they have to pay for - long before they ever sell so much as a single stitch - in order to sell internationally, they have to pay for hefty storage costs; then they have to pay through their noses for some pretty monumentally sized transportational costs: staff to sort the international apparel outta storage, get it ready for shipment, who knows how many lorries/HGV's - all with their own drivers - to transport the stock to whichever international port.., then it has to be checked onto a international transportation liner boat, under supervision, spend who knows how long en route, then all of the above process has to be done all over again in reverse once the stock finally reaches the port of Destination, including all of the associated massive costs of each of those particular steps, AND the cost of paying hefty amounts to insure all of the individual parties involved in the process AND the stock itself - while STILL having to also factor in a margin for potential losses/personnel mistakes/acts of nature etc that can and often do affect the ultimate delivery of the stock or not.... Honestly, the costs to the company who have to pay for everything above ☝️ when being factored into the overall pricing of the apparel for sale, it would easily dwarf the cost of manufacturing each individual garment, multiplied by a factor of who knows what - and that's just transportation overheads to sell internationally - I haven't even said a word about international tariffs and/or taxes, the difference in the availability and/or colossally high prices of renting retail shop front locations in places like London, compared to places in Japan etc (which also raises all of the location specific overheads too, like insurance; higher wages need to be paid to all workers, because it costs a certain amount of money below which it is literally impossible to live within commuting distance to the shop you work at within cities like that - you can't just pay people minimum wage; you have no choice but to pay them a LIVING WAGE which is commensurate with the cost profile of living within the same catchment area as the shop, unfavourable local taxes and corporate costs of levies, tariffs, local welfare programs etc of the shop country, which are most often quite harsh on large companies who are headquartered elsewhere in the world, etc, etc, etc - I could honestly write a whole essay here explaining this in detail to you...... Suffice to say that because the company doesn't have to carry/pay for any of the above massively financially punitive overheads - which all but eradicate the profit margins completely - when they sell in Japan, and can also manufacture to meet the most popular items in real time (rather than being forced to make a massive financial outlay payment upfront and long in advance of them finding out whether each item sells equally; which they never do btw...!?!; and take the entire financial hit on whatever the locals at the other end of the world don't respond to or buy at all - what's popular in one part of the world can quite often be the aesthetic nightmare of another part of the world) ALL OF WHICH seriously diminish the cost of Overheads to such an extent whereby I would honestly probably bet my very life on the fact that, even when you take into consideration the 30+% reduction in prices that favours Japanese Customers, I'd say that they're still making a much more sizeable profit margin on selling to the Japanese - even with that much reduced price - than the barely there profit margins they manage to scrape out of the higher cost price paid by the consumer/customer elsewhere in the world, even though it appears that international customers appear to be paying 150% of what their Japanese contemporaries are in Japan..... On the surface, it might appear to be unfair and unreasonable - but the second you actually think about it and the bigger picture in terms of the reasons behind it, suddenly you realize how much more reasonable, rational and self explanatory it is, considering the factors that are involved in the Total Cost of Manufacturing for Sale (including associated overheads) Vs End Stage In Shop Price for Sale Complete Equation that has to be considered - which drives the prices of consumer goods internally within a company. That's the equations which need to be considered and completed within the internal structure of any business to keep that business viable. There are many, many external factors which are far beyond the business' control which also drive both the cost of manufacturing and the cost of sale price which I haven't even gotten into either (and I won't!!) Eg:- Inflation; the Jobs Market (how many competitive jobs there are available at any given time; things like Strikes, Work to Rule Protests, etc, The Economic Viability of the Core Consumer Group, Etc, Etc...); Increases to international levies and tariffs, the Economical Well-being of the world - are we in a Prosperous state worldwide; or are we inching closer and closer to Recession, like what appears to be happening right now.... Anyway, that's me putting the phone down - just thought I'd explain the reasons behind the apparent disparity to you, so you realize that it's actually quite a normal thing you're witnessing/speaking of - and also it's not just purely because of corporate greed, but instead it's something which has to occur in order to cover both extra and massively increased overhead costs....!! Take care.
Synthetic and recycled fabrics are not good philosophy, a subtle shortchanging customers with higher than or quite costly products in comparison with local market in PH.
I never bought anything from them, i don't like there design, i love beautiful clothes with feminine touch, and there design for Tom boy and men mostly, its doll for me
80% of my cloths are all UNIQLO & i love it. Great quality & minimalist look. I describe it as quite luxury. ❤
Yeah, all these 10$ tshirts and 80$ jackets made in China by children sure transpire a luxurious lifestyle.
You misunderstood the definition of quiet luxury entirely 😂😂😂
FYI, minimalism ≠ quiet luxury, Uniqlo is as mass market as any brand can be
@@brianting1342 i know right???? in the first place there is nothing luxurious in the brand at all.
My favorite brand. Way better then H&M
Love UNIQLO! I am a 60 years old woman and I enjoy the clothing because it is simple and it fits me well… the store in Honolulu is wonderful!
I’m also 60 so will try this brand , looks comfortable:)
quality , stylist , comfortable , affordable for daily use for travelling ,
look at their quality , sewing line so perfect .
Quality, simplicity, and stimulating collabs. Love Uniqlo.
Best quality and pricing . Uniqlo killed Gap , etc ..
I just basically commented the same thing. Went 💯 Banana Republic to Uniqlo
I love the Heattech products. So good!
Best and affordable … quality superb!
Buying their products for many years while traveling in Asia. I’m exited that they have just opened two stores in the Dallas area where I live! Uniqlo, a good brand!
They're like the Toyota and Honda clothing line. They may not look flashy but they work.
Love Uniqlo heattech socks which are now a must have winter item for me.
When I visit malls in Malaysia, I always make a beeline for Uniqlo. The staff is super friendly, and I always joke with them when I enter the store by saying, ‘Welcome to Uniqlo!’ before they did, Their discount rack clothing is a steal!

My fav brand.
Id rather be proud wearing a Uniqlo display T-shirt than an over priced Versace
I love this brand. Very comfortable
Wonderful store ….admiration
most of my clothes are UNIQLO. Love the heatech, airism, and the simplistic design of their clothes.
Love their Clothing. Bought some in 2012 ans they are still going strong. Great quality.juat wish they had bigger sizes
Love Uniqlo . Best quality and pricing balance . Have more items than I had last year and this will go on. 😊😊
The quality of superb. I still have a shirt that I use purchased from Uniqlo about 5 years ago.
Minimalist and practical to wear
Love the utralite down coat. Warm and light. 😊😊😊
Quality and affordable. This is where Shein fails and Uniqlo succeeds.
uniqlo is quality, class and comfort.

I love uniqlo brand
How I wish they will open a branch here in Christchurch New Zealand as as other key city in this country
Great commercial.
Very good products which I use almost everyday ❤️ Would like to see Uniqlo Store in Istanbul 😍
Quality price stylish really awesome
UNIQLO and HERMES have something in common !
- QUALITY
- DURABILITY
- SIMPLICITY
- DISCREET
- and much more ! ( of course not prices 😂)
I love their fabrics especially heat tech and airtime.
Here in the Phils it's quite costly for the average people.
It’s functional, I agreed. I bought it for casual wear. Pricing is ok in general.
Uniqlo’s quality totally beats Zara’s, but I just can’t trust those used clothing recycling programs offered by clothing companies. It honestly feels like a scam! Most of those clothes just end up in landfills, and there are way too many out there for everyone. It’s such a mess!
I love Uniqlo, the tech staff is genious. I would really like to have one in Switzerland, but it seems that it is gonna take some more time…
They are minimalist by design. You can guarantee a basic in decent quality. Also i can always find the exact colour of socks as they have such a huge range of choice for men. They even display the colours in order from white to black and a clever range with a good choice of colour
Since Roger Federer promoted it, the brand went gold!
Simple, durable, good quality smart casual clothes
I love uniquo products, it is affordable and good quality than other brands names in western world.
The background music is way too loud imo..however the subject is quite timely

My father couldn’t pronounce the brand so one day he said ‘’I bought this at UNICULO’’ lol
Very successful in Thailand 🇹🇭 and seems that way in China 🇨🇳 the heat tech works well in Japan 🇯🇵 when temperatures change daily. Bought the stock but not up yet. 😂not sure what is puff tech 😂
Puff tech may make a puffy insulation, but lighter. Like the ultralight jacket 😊😊😊, just guessing.
They even have my size. I’m a plus
didn't know sizing are different
Love them but the quality have gone down in the 2010s so haven’t been purchasing as much if the clothing by doesn’t last that long
My favourite brand. H and M quality is not good and Zara is overly expensive!!
Never heard of them
I find uniqulo clothings too flimsy for western counties. They are more suitable for hot, humid and sometimes rainy environment in east Asia.
I thought uniclo meant unisex clothing 😊..
All clothing are unisex if you put your mind to it.
Uniqlo is not so affordable for a simple T - shirt (London). I have not been in Japan since the Covid, also I heard that it is more affordable and their quality in Japan is better?
Their simple design is what I like. Quality wise? not sure about their cashmere jumpers....
30 percent cheaper than those in Canada, I bought some when I visited japan last year
Heard that UNIGLO in Japan has started a 2nd store too...🤔
Yeah, but if you just stop and think about that for even a few seconds that's actually pretty par for the course for any company in their specific position....!?! Y'know, given that the clothes are designed and manufactured in Japan....?!

I like your book.😊
They are pretty expensive to me
I was gonna say the same thing. It's cheaper than the big brands but very expensive in comparison to the lower brands
Get them on sale
The quality is great but the designs are soooooo drab
Las Vegas is waiting for a UNIQLO.
Synthetic and recycled fabrics are not good philosophy, a subtle shortchanging customers with higher than or quite costly products in comparison with local market in PH.
What I dont like about uniclo is their cargo pants because it has a garter. So it kinda looked like track pants instead of regular cargo pants
The style I
find with this brand is very bland and lackadaisical.
To bland for me. Everyone looks essentially the same.
Boycott.
UNIQLO clothes are over sized and too eye catchy
I never bought anything from them, i don't like there design, i love beautiful clothes with feminine touch, and there design for Tom boy and men mostly, its doll for me
CRAP QUALITY made in the Philipines, Thailand and Bangladesh
Most of the clothes you wear are made in sweatshops in third world countries, even the luxury name brands
LOL 😂
