The driver was impressive for sure but the approach shot if you cut that into a highlight reel of LPGA players nobody would know the difference that was just smooth simple and efficient!

I own a an original Wilson 8802 bought it in 1965 for $16, at one time in the late 70’s there was an article in Golf Digest about classic putters and they valued the 8802 at about $1200. Since then there have been so many duplication and the price has plummeted.
Yep. The 8802 was a continuous model that they made for many years. I have a couple of those plus a Wilson Designed by Arnold Palmer. The reason they are so valuable is they were only made for like two years in the early 60s then he left Wilson so I believe that is how the 8802 replaced it. Both were great putters.

The 8802s went up after Phil won the PGA. They were constantly talking about his 8802 putter on the golf channel.
Nice headcover, Tigger is my favorite from Disney.
Those shafts weren't broken, they were steel shafts that were pulled from a set of irons. You can reinstall them. You still have a lot to learn about equipment, but definitely is fun to go bargain hunting.

you will love that bombtech 9 iron, l bought their original Driver about 8 yrs ago, great club. I still have in my bag the bombtech 3+ 13 degree 3 wood, its long and very forgiving. they make great clubs

Absolutely please do play the tournament. They’re so fun. We do scrambles a few times a year for fundraisers and they’re a blast. Usually you get to play at a really nice course too…..😉
The 8802 may have been the pre 90's version. In the 90's the club face was widened to larger than a nickel width.
I bought mine in the 90's and it's still in my bag.

Oh... Ben Crenshaw also used a Bullseye blade putter...I know he used it when he won his second Master's Tournament....the one after Harvey Penick passed in the 1990's!

My favorite 8802 is the Ben Crenshaw model put out by Walter Hagen (when it was part of Wilson) in the 80’s. Still have it.

I own that 10 iron. Super heavy head compared to the newer Pitching Wedges, but it's pretty good!
Mizuno 0802 putter is a sleeper polish it up copper is inside great putter you can feel for $30 right now on ebay a few for cheaper again polish it up and take the nicks out use fine sand paper wet sand and copper will come through

Like the Wilson putter,found a set of Wilson 1200 blades at a thrift store for 6 bucks, also a few years ago got a John Daily putter for 2 bucks and won 10 grand on a three putt challenge
