French and American Guys Become Tanzanian 🇹🇿 (#23)

  • As I continued my stroll down Coco Beach in Dar es Salaam, I stopped for a short while to get an alcoholic beverage. While there I came upon a mzungu adapted to Tanzania so well, that he had become Tanzanian. I also met some other new friends, some who like matakos and some who don't like religion. What a day.

      My radical take is that Kongolese Swahili is purer, broken and laughable as it sounds, since it is heavily embedded in its Bantu origin. Unlike the coastal one, considered pure, yet has way more Arabic loan words and influence.

    That guy you're talking with at the start is so intelligent and down to earth. He thinks for himself, learns languages, kind hearted and is genuinely interested in others. The fact that he decided for himself to not believe in God in a country like Tanzania is incredible.
    It is very difficult to change someones perspective/beliefs they have been taught from birth. Only in the most socially evolved places (pardon my bad wording, I don't know how else to describe it) such as for example Europe, has the general population managed to stop believing in God. It's incredible that he came to that conclusion himself.

      As life progresses and hardship and suffering continue many will turn to the One Infinite Creator realizing that there infinite probabilities for good and infinite probabilities for negative. One then realizes they know very, very little about Creation. At this point One turns inward to seek and there you find God. Life is Soul evolution and enjoying the abundance that is provided to us. This dimension of duality is meant to be challenging, we take blows, get kicked around, and find gratitude then we grow. We are spiritual beings in a material body, the body dies, but we do not the soul and consciousness is eternal. We continue on our journey until we are able to reunite with God. Contemplate, pray, meditate and serve others and Glory will come sooner then later.

Cherish each day you get to experience this. Question though - do the locals seem like they hang around you as friends to try to get money from you? Or are they all genuine?

    If you learn language language always comes with its culture as well. If you learn language slowly you wilil start to know culture custom tradition and its people's behaviour. So Easy to fit in or integrate to locals at list in my experience. I didn't study but can speak four language fluently.

  • @Pyxe_ZA
    @Pyxe_ZA 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    @3:46, that’s so true in many parts of the world. Some people are too conservative to absorb the culture and learn something new. I commented on one of the other videos about how many languages I speak. And that comes from the “hunger” to learn. And I go all out. Immersing myself completely in the culture, so not just to speak the language, but to truly understand the culture. It’s a wonderful thing 😊
