I was allowed to drive North London's last t ever EPB , unit 6321, the last slam door train on the North London line, last North Woolwich Stratford low level train on sun 1 OCT 1989, with only the driver who invited me on the front,I and a drunk on board, No detonators for this very historic last train, more historic than the Oldham one
RIP John Tynan, you were a joy to work with.
Shame to see the Oldham Loop go but at least it was rebuilt as part of the Metrolink. That said I wish I'd travelled on it as a heavy railway line.
Wish I was on the last train :(
I was on the last train! Even people who had no idea it was the last enjoyed it. I also went on the last ever class 101

The question 🙋♀️ is that is the Oldham Loop 🔁 likely to be ceased? If so, perhaps 🤔 it won’t be coming back again anymore. 👍
Oh it's well and truly gone. To experience the loop tram to Rochdale from Manchester, then train back to Manchester
Guard John Tynan, a bloody top bloke.
