I hadn't used my knitter for a while and forgot how to get the rope started. Found your tutorial which goes beyond just the basics. I really love the idea of adding beads! I have a lot of seed beads of different sizes but only wove with them on a loom before, so this is such a fun idea to add more dimension. Thank you so much for explaining how to do that!

Great tutorial. I’m not a fan of written instructions so I was thrilled to see tutorials. I’m visual and you did an excellent job of explaining this little machine. Thank you.

I remember having the manual version of this bought me for my birthday when I was a little girl and it was called a French knitting set. You had to thread it up with the knitting yarn which came with it and then manually slip over each one of the 4 stitches/loops. Once you got into the rhythm it grew quite well, but this is so much quicker. I will have to look for one over here in the UK.
Thanks for this demonstration, it was very interesting.

Very cool. That would be a great tool for someone like me who can't knit cause of dexterity problems.

Becky, thank you for trying it with wire. I’m disappointed it didn’t work, but I’m not surprised. It’s still a cool tool for yarn and thread!

You can also use a double sided Tunisia hook and do the same method as the knitting needles.

Very helpful and clear video! Thank you. What kind of variegated yarn are you using at the start?

Hi this yarn was donated to us by an avid knitter! We recommend using it with finer yarns, fingering weight to sport weight yearn is recommended.

Can you send it back to Art Beads for a refund? It's an expensive tool so they should definitely give you your money back if it doesn't work. Cheers from Amanda Jones, a fellow beader in Melbourne, Australia

My regular yarn doesnt do well that doesnt come down after knitting. Is it too thick? Should i buy thinner yarn?

It really comes out nice when you add any bead.
Can you add even 15th? Or is the limit like the smallest when you use is an 11? It is really pretty. You did a really cool job and thank you for showing us how it works. Thank you.

If the 15 size fits on your cord and fits through the center hole, I don't see why you couldn't use them!

I cannot get mine to work no matter what I do. I keep the weight hanging and I go slow and it just balls up on top. Any suggestions?

Hold the weight in one hand and use the crochet hook to pull it through ;)

What can you do with these long cords. I’ve done corking for years but never knew what to do with them other than sew them in a round to make carpets or oval throws. Can you do anything else?

    • @ArtbeadsVideos
      @ArtbeadsVideos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi Susan! I made a coaster with one, a bracelet with another, and I made a beaded cord that I used in a bracelet. They could also make cute headbands, I think they would be nice potholders as well. Here is a blog post with some inspiration for using them: artbeads.com/blog/tulip-i-cord-knitter-how-to-use-jewelry-craft-inspiration/

@@debracannon8572 I just tried to use this tool with 30 gauge wire and I wouldn't recommend it. My first attempt was a jumbled mess and the second attempt, the wire actually snapped and broke from the hooks and latches pulling on the wire. I also tried to use 24 gauge wire and that wire was too thick, the tension on the tool felt like it might break something. - Becky
