I saw a documentary where Dr. Ralph Stanley, talked about the first time he saw Ricky Skaggs and Keith Whitley. He was late to a show, there in West Virginia, and he thought he was hearing a record of the Stanley Brothers because they sounded so much like them.
Yes, Keith did eventually record one song with Emmylou Harris. It was a song that also featured Vern Gosdin on background vocals, a song Keith recorded for the unused 3rd album which did eventually make it on the DCYE album called "Would These Arms Be in Your Way." It was released as a single several months before the DCYE album was. Mike Whitley just now on the phone told me that Keith's manager Jack McFadden always called the song "Would These Arms GET in Your Way." Now that's funny!!!
Dwight is tremendous, knows his music and loved his brothers! nothing but respect for a man who has dealt with more share of tragedys than any man should have to but somehow keeps it together,I know I couldn't handle half of what he has been through.never met Dwight, but have a lot of respect for how he handles himself.God bless you Dwight.
John Meeks yes indeed I have had the opportunity to meet him and he is a very humble man full of wisdom. I love to hear him sing in my book Dwight is ranked my all time favorite.
this brother is terrific, he remembers everything accurately and the thing that is striking me is his love for Keith. no jealousy at all.
And he favors Keith so much
Such a loving family
They are some very sweet ppl. Handsome brother, striking resemblance.
"Would these arms be in your way" is an astounding performance; Vern and Emmylou provide tremendous harmony and Keith provided an amazing vocal!

Such nice people. Only just got onto Keith’s music and I was initially put off by the eighties looks but he was the real deal for sure
That’s my uncle Dwight was talking about! The lead singer who was killed! Roy Lee Centers!

What year was this filmed and is Dwight still alive in 2022?
Yes, they are my cousins. Dwight and Flo are still living. Their Momma is gone.
Paul "Moon" Melons WBZI!!!!
That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard that he was "to country" . Nowadays it's not even considered country
WHERE'S PART ONE????? :(
+Joanne Allen it's on this page
Ugh the voice-over editing is HORRIBLE. It couldn't be any more obvious that the questions were recorded in a booth
