    On the topic of the failed engine, i suggest you remove the oil pump and check that out, it looks a lot like some of the failures i have seen from people running the knockoff topline balance shaft elimination stubby that does not have the oil groove in it.

      Ding ding! You got it! We didn't get video of it cause we moved on, but that's exactly what happened! Well done!

      @@tunesandtunes I thought so its such a stupid mistake, it's not the engine builders fault, i mean yeah they could have gone with the more costly bse kit, but it took a bit for the dsm community to catch on to these sort of details, i think I felt the worst when my buddy gave me his forged paper weight of a 6 bolt engine it had, Ross pistons, Eagle rods, Arp main and head studs, Kiggly girdle, (it was bent from the rod that shot out the back of the block) it was making 650hp (obviously not for long) he just wanted to send it, and he was turning it up to run 700hp+ when it let go... moral of the story oem delete is the only way to go, or the GSC power division balance shaft elimination kit, even cheaper cut the stock oil pump driven shaft and thread the oil supply hole for the b/s bearings oil supply, and thread it shut with locktite or weld it shut.

    Great job! I used the Eastwood version of the rust converter on the underside of the Spyder, then covered with their platinum sealer (the silver version of their por15 substitute). Works pretty well.

      Thanks Jake! yeah we're about to use that eastwood stuff on another project, looks pretty nice! In the next couple Raven videos you'll see what we ended up doing to this one!

      @@tunesandtunes Nice. Eastwood is based out of Chicago, so I used to drop into their storefront and got into the habit of using their stuff. Next time you drive through Chicago, it's worth stopping in to see the selection in person.

    Cuando esta muy bajo el upper control choca arriba le quita la capa de brea original y por ahí empieza la roncha en la famosa true tower

    Wow! I am surprised you found a Sonata G4CP on marketplace. How is the condition of that Hyundai valve cover? And are you willing to part with it?

    • @tunesandtunes
      @tunesandtunes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah so were we! Haha. Some guy needed it to mock up for a 4g63 swap and had a friend ship it to him from Florida, then he didn't need it anymore after the mockup. Crazy good price too! Yeah we're keeping the valve cover. Gonna put it on the vista haha
