I rarely post comments for video but these are great videos.Thank you so much for taking the time to post these.I'm in the middle of this job right now and would be lost without the help.
I own a 2000 Tracker 2.0L, 2D, 2WD, 80K miles. I changed the spark plugs, there is some Florida fine red dirt in the back 2 spark plug holes that I want to clean out later on. When you removed the valve cover, the spark plug hole/tubes are part of the head, so there is no use in me to remove the valve cover to clean the tubes, it would be nice is the tubes came off to clean. I cleaned the plug boots with WD-40, they cleaned up very nice. The original plugs came out O.K. NGK IFR5G, I installed the new plugs NGK PFR5J11 at 11 FT LBS, put ATF on the threads, works great. Stay with the heat range 5. The Tracker runs great...
Here is a helpful hint...I prefer to leave the intake bolted to the head. Once you get the intake/head assembly out of the car, it is much easier to get to the bolts on the intake.
Hey, I'm having a lot of trouble with this part and I wanna try your idea. Is there anything extra that has to be disconnected from the intake components?
