At least renault put a metal housing on unlike vauxhall who put a plastic housing on some cars so when you fit a new thermostat the housing cracks Good vid bud
Had to do this many months ago with mine bit fiddly but i just removed the top clip on the boost pipe and just twisted it out the way. Bleeding it, just ran it up to temp then drove it up the road and vooolaaaaaa✌️was done
I just had a look at mine because I need to do this, and I was thinking the same thing. Which clips off the boost pipe did you take off? The jubilee + the two bolts for the metal boost pipe right?
Ive had this battery tray out 3 times abit fiddly! Ive done the bolt mod for shifter, yes you drill a hole i think 10mm, you can find the info on google however i think the shifters too stiff after the mod so will be returning to standard! Question: what video upload program you using?
When I did the thermostat on my Megane I just ran the engine for about 20 minutes with the coolant expansion tank cap off, and it eventually sorted itself out, then topped up the coolant.
Can see why my mechanic always hates me turning up 😅 so might give this a go to give him a break because he’s done loads of work to it recently! My temp gauge has been really inconsistent recently, sits at a quarter whilst driving then creeps up to half way when in traffic, plus feels a little hot, did you do a full bleed or run the engine with the cap off?
You have the wrong colour coolant. Think it's supposed to be Renault type d which is yellow. Take bumper off. Remove plug on radiatior. Use bleed screw next to the thermostat. Refill.
@@JustbeingHayden yeah mine too. Quite a easy job to do. Basically just remove front jumper and remove one bolt. Take a awhile to flush through but worth it to know your running the correct spec coolant with a new thermostat

Final cut 👍
Do the short shifter mod, loads of guides online, I may give it a go myself!! Good video!!
Will be trying this in the next 2 weeks man
Brilliant, I will keep an eye out for the video 👍

Enough to test the patience of a saint. Put me off Renault in the future i think.
That looked easy. lol
Renault probably the best sports car manufacturer in the World at the moment...
Had my 2011 since brand new and never had a major issue ever.
I got a Collins dump valve if interested in buying it
For the sake of access just remove the boost hose. Makes life so much easier.

Hello...is the problem solved by changing the thermostat ?
Seems to be fine yes 👍
Mate this car at times looks a cnut to work on fair play for giving it a bash

That’s what was in I when I bought the car 🧐👍
