Thanks for the nice video. Within the past year or so I have seen one of these double enders at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA. It operates within the yard and doesn't venture out onto the tracks that run by Sinclair Inlet.
You are most certainly welcome! Yes, these little locomotives were made for yard switching and not much more then that due to their low horsepower and tractive effort. It's amazing that the Claremont & Concord were able to work with these for road service in that kind of terrain.
My first ride in a locomotive was an 80 ton center cab from Seal Beach Naval Station it was painted the same color as 119. I have such fond memories way back then.
Thank goodness for these wonderful videos,i love lil 119 loco. I use to watch the USN navy rail road at Seal Beach Ca,they used 80 center cabs ,sadly they are all gone now.
That lil yellow loco sure has a personality of its own!
It most certainly does!

Sign of the times I guess. I'm sure they must've been fun to watch while it lasted.
I enjoyed your video. What's in the hopper cars. Salt or wood pellets maybe?
Thank you! Based off the description of the clip, I think it's definitely salt!
