Hardening off: "They had a moment and then they was fine" 😂 that's exactly what I do 😂 they do look sad for a minute and bounce back. I love watching your videos, definitely my kind of gardening!
Always enjoy your videos 😊 and since I've adopted a tiny bit of your positive attitude about gardening, I'm a much happier gardener, so thank you Asia 😍
You are a wealth of knowledge. Thank you for all that you talk about.
I love that you mentioned your zone even though we are in a different one from you. It helps me figure out what seeds I may have forgotten. I'm a 1st year gardener and now that I have a long growing season. All knowledge is Good knowledge for someone like me.😊
I love how real you are! It’s so refreshing! Love your channel 🌱💫
Nice video you are such a great gardener and a huge inspiration to me and starting my own garden. Thank you.
To the person who asked about the " Towers," the greenstalks are great, but they eat up a LOT of soil. You can replenish the soil, but at some point, you will have to use new soil.It all depends on what you grow in them. The small towers from the dollar tree are great, BUT they are not very deep so you have to watch what you plant in them.
Good info! Thanks.
@@niknak2491 🌝
Enjoyed the video, I dropped seeds while watching so I feel so productive now 👍🏾🌱
Hey! It's nice to see you, friend, and puppy. Yes, we are all pretty busy at this time in the garden. I bought some grape sized tomato starts this year, & even though it's still wacky weather, they are outside, not growing fast but doing fine. 👍🏾🍅🍅
Always enjoy your videos. You are a good guide for me as we are in the same zone. Just ordered my kneeler; they should be sponsoring you :).
I just love you and your content!!!!❤
The answer to pest...you can't keep them off. You can reduce the damage they cause. But they will always be back. Keep watch of your garden, is key. If you don't, maybe it won't be there anymore😂
Asia, the hardening-off question was me! Thank you! I will risk "the moment" to avoid the in and out hassle! I love seeing you use whatever is available around the house for seed starting! I do the same. No need for fancy. I use the plastic fruit and vegetable containers from the grocery store. 😍I make thyme oil using sweet almond oil and use it all winter for cough and cold. Works amazing. Thanks as always Asia for great content!
I’ve just planted out garlic and shelling peas here in Perth, Western Australia. We are part way into Autumn and hoping for the first Autumn rains. We are still having hot days 😢
love that you have a video up and dont give up on the tomateos
Kim's Cozy Corner has about a dozen green stalks. Catch their sales!
I got the bootstrap farmer trays with the 32 cell pods. It changed my life this year! I started my tomatoes and peppers in them and did not need to up pot at all! I’m in 9a and started my tomatoes the day after Christmas and planted them out in February this year. I have cherry tomatoes already starting to turn and my large tomatoes are blooming! I have little baby squash and French green beans too. I’m hoping I’ll get a decent harvest before it gets too hot and the borers get them!
I missed the bundle sale they had 😢 but will eventually buy some of their trays.Good investment, I say.
@@delphine88313 definitely! The best money I’ve ever spent on garden stuff!
@@adigmon 🌝
Can you or anyone tell me if eight slips will be enough for one person, they will go in a 25 gallon container.. thank you 💜
@@blaqfish do you mean, will they produce enough sweet potatoes for one person to eat? …it depends on how many you eat and how well they do. You can always start with one container this year, and add if you need to next. I wouldn’t plant more than 6 in a 25 gallon container. I’m doing 6 in a 25 gallon grow bag but they are a smaller bush variety called Vardaman. Don’t feed them too much nitrogen and good luck!
I love the store because it’s foldable and you can put it out of the way once you’re finished using it every time!
I has some casualties to wind in my small greenhouse too🥴. Luckily I had the same stuff planted indoors and some outside.
Asia you crack me up 😂 the realest gardener on the tube! Im uppoting my seedlings as we speak. Happy growing my friend 🙏🏽👩🏽🌾🥰🌱
Enjoyed your video replant your tomatillo since the seed is so little just put them on the soil and sprinkle soil pat down . Happy Gardening. Hey friend 👋🏽
Those tomatillos gave me a run for my money 😅😅.It took me THREE times to finally get two to grow( you need two for production). UGH, what a headache !
See here you go, now. I want tomatoes.

I’m so glad I found your channel. You have so much good information to share. You have such a pleasant, easy listening voice as well. I am now a subscriber of your channel.
Great video loaded with information
I’m so skeptical about planting so many seeds in one container due to the fear of killing them during separation and up potting. You made it look so easy.keep doingthese videos by simply talking you are teaching. My wife and I love your content keep up the great work. Not good GREAT!
Thanks Asia👍🏽
I love your channel.
Hey Asia,I spent all day in my garden today tilting and making rows to plant vegetables. I have raised beds and 50% of my plants are planted in the ground. Thanks for sharing another great video ❤
Hey Asia! I’m here watching and catching up while I get some gardening chores done myself. 😜
Loving your greenhouse setup! Nice backdrop!
Empress Asia, You are a great land Lord!
Facts, fighting nature is a losing battle
I live in Berlin CT. Near Middletown. Lots of farms! Lots of fruit trees including peaches. Zone 6.
Just writing to say hi and send good vibes! I really appreciate your approach to gardening.
Asia, you plant and take care of them like me Once I plant it I let God take care of it. No pesticides or treatment. Never had a bad year of harvest. ❤
ASIA!😊 So happy to see you today!!!
Great job as always!!! I am about to get tomatoes
This year I tried a thing! In an effort to avoid needing to up-pot my tomatoes at all, I tried the double cup method
Using red cups (the bigger ones you use for parties :-) ). Well the inner cup is a red cup and the outer cup is the clear version of that same red cup. In most of the cups I planted two or three tomato seeds and in just about every cup I ended up with such big and strong, healthy, tomato plants that I was able to expand each cup, so that the each of the additional tomato plants has their own cup now. So, rather than having to pull out the weaker seedlings like I thought I would, I ended up having to start new cups to accommodate the additional seedlings, because they were all so big and strong. Using the double cup method does a really great thing with the roots that allows them to go through openings cut into the inner red cup, and the roots do not become bound at all! It has made it very easy for me to separate the two or three plants without hardly any root disruption. They have ALL huge now & have OUTGROWN my indoor planting shelves! This will be my method every year and I totally plan to reuse the same cups next year. I sowed the seeds on Feb 26 and it’s now April 9th. Zone 7A
Good morning, hon 😊
To question about “softening soil” , one can also add peat moss
Beautiful basil and tomato seedlings!!
I never worried about cleaning my pots either, besides a quick rinse. But a few days ago I found aphids on all my peppers and basil!!! On my indoor grow shelves!!! That has never happened to me in multiple years. All I've ever had are a few fungus gnats, but never aphids. Luckily they didn't attack all the seedlings and I caught it early... So I rinsed off all the plants and have treated w organic insecticidal soap and they are fine. I don't know if it came from the unsantized pots I uppotted into, or from some soil 🤔 Grrr.
You go girl.... your stuff looks like Bonnie's 💚😍💚
Aphids, I've always been told the opposite, if you got ants you got aphids. Because, the ants farm the aphids for eating. So it's easier for them to have them n the same place, so the ants will round them up in certain areas. I'm not 100% sure it's true. But they do go hand in hand those two =)
I learned a lesson about having plants in/on the ground. My beet seeds sprouted, and then the bunny babies came by... No more beet sprouts.
So far my seedlings are doing better with the amount of lumens/watts you use. I have no clue if the plants will actually do well since my soil and other factors matter. But I want to thank you for sharing your preference. I appreciate the tip.
Companion plant for pests
Maan I love your videos frfr!

Love you so much thanks!! ❤
🤗🤗
Girl we are too much alike sometimes!!😂😂 I didn't clean not near one of my seed cells either. I knew what growing I wasn't diseased or anything like that I'm not pouring hot water all over my soil I'm just not going to do all that I'm going to put my seed in my seed trays with some potting mix because I think seed starting mixes are a scam. Btw, I love your shirt and your content. Stay gold!
I bought the 100 W grow lights you use. I hope it works for me too. Thank you for sharing your process and answering my question. Happy Spring!
You are so inspiring!
We have way more sweet potato slips than we need if you’d like them. We grew our own for the first time this year and they showed out.
lol Asia, I love you honesty. me too I dont clean my trays:) sending love from NY. love your videos
I'm in harrisburg pa, and for the towers I use the Dollar tree ones.
Hi Asia! I have been binging your videos and soaking up all the wonderful knowledge you share 🌱✨ I’m in GA (8a) and this is our first spring in our new home. We have started our garden with 4 raised beds, no dig rows and tent style trellises! My seeds are going pretty strong and I’m just hoping I keep everything alive to see the garden 😂. Anyhoo, thank you so much for sharing with us! I’ve learnt so much from you already. Can’t wait to watch your garden grow this season. Happy planting!
Also, we used to live in Virginia! Hampton area on the bay 😊
So helpful to watch you go through this process. I'm starting a lot of things from seed this year and feel a little worried about when and how to start transplanting the tiny seedlings. Thank you!
Hi Asia I see friend made sure she was on camera today😂everything is looking good to me in your greenhouse. Like me have some stuff that need to be potted up, as well as some of my flowers need to be planted out 😩was waiting on my Temu order😂 had to get some more grow bagsssssss🤣I’m like you I like the grow bags. When I decided to garden I only started with 10 bags now I’m up to 20😂 and yes there will be another grow bag order I can see it 🤣🤣
I do not like up potting 😅 I keep putting everything straight into the garden when it looks tall enough
I just like hearing you talk. I hope thats not weird.😊
Just came across your video and subscribed. Love your style!
I assume you can grow peaches in CT- they have northern hardy varieties (I think down to zone 5-6).
And of course, they need " chill time" anyway.
Hi Asia! It's so good to see you working in your awesome greenhouse.
If I'm ever able to buy a house one day soon, I will have a nice size greenhouse to do all my gardening work comfortably. 😊
My daughter and I set up a drip irrigation this weekend. I'm so excited that I won't be suffering this summer😂😂
As always, thanks for sharing!😊
Hey Elwanda! It’s nice to have one! O nice, I’m sure you’re excited. Congrats!
I’m going get started this week.
Omg 😂😂😂. I use the butt of a sharpie to make my holes too.

Hi ms Asia….. just sending you lots of love from my neck of the woods……. Don’t give up! Say a prayer and throw your worries on Jehovah …. Our father in the heavens wants you to succeed ❤❤
Thank you for sharing, this is my first year gardening and I’m a bit nervous
Becareful cause I live in Florida 10b went to my Home Depot and Lowe’s to get blackberries and the ones they were selling some were for zones 5-7. So glad I checked before I bought them. I have to look for the ones with less chill hrs. So I had to order online😂
I had to get the BB gun out for the squirrels! 🤷🏽♀️💜
Thanks. Planted some herbs but not as many as I like. Got some new cell trays that help so maybe plants more. Hydrogen Peroxide is good for keeps nats and aphids at bay. Try keep on task started cool weather then placed in green house helped a lot. Plan get another green house for space, one with some shelves. I have some towers but lot cheaper. Then got some from store here 7b called Lidli, wish I got more. They are bigger than usual towers but work for my strawberries and herbs. Take care happy gardening.
Hey Asia.where r u?can't wait 4 ur new video.misn it
For aphids, I’ve had success with a neem oil spray I get from Lowe’s or my local garden supply store.
Perlite helps with drainage while vermiculite helps retain moisture. Just learned this last fall.
How do you fertilize your roselle? We got 3 to germinate and thus far they look good.
Thank you for the comment! I primarily use fish emulsion and comfrey tea. At planting I normally add granulated fertilizer as well. Congrats on your germination. They are such pretty plants.
Hello 👋 new to gardening and I started my seed process and I’ve noticed a couple of my seeds are going through the germicide phase. I’m seeing a couple seeds start to sprout, but a couple of my stems are like sprouting from the side instead of straight up. Is this because I need a bigger container? And when I wake up in the morning and I go to open the window for sunlight, some of beds are sticking up and I have to pat them back down. Im not sure if I have enough room please help.
Im in north Florida so ALL on my plants are out and about 😅😅😅.I only have a few stragglers that are to small right now. I had a few casualties but hey over here you got to want to live or you will surely DIE!!
Hey Friend! ❤
Hey 👋🏾
❤❤❤
Do you use your chicken droppings for fertilizer?
Sweeeeeet ✊🏾😎🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱
I love your easy gardening attitude. This will be my first year gardening at my first house I am learning a lot from you. I was wondering if you are a good cook and will you be maybe incorporating cooking to your channel? I love cooking but not the best at it and would love some recipes that include your vegetables and fruit. Thank you!
Thank you! I do plan to incorporate more cooking this year. Someone sent me a cookbook. I want to cook through it!
hi again sorry to keep asking questions about the chickens, but do u put the chickens in the coop every night during the summer or does it matter? thank u for the advice
Do you take the tomatoes out and put it in the next size up and then they stay in the greenhouse until it's time to plant directly in the soil in a flower bed.
Thank you for sharing this ❤
Yes, our last frost has passed now so I feel pretty confident they will I’ll survive until planting time.
Question: do i need to knick the loofa seeds or soak them?
I normally soak mine after using a nail file to break the outside of the seed a little.
Is it to late to start seeds for spring? I have fallen behind with starting seeds for my peppers, some herbs, and squash. I live in VA, 8b.
Nope, your harvest will come a little later but we have a very long growing season in VA.
@@YellowDoorUrbanHomestead perfect! Thank you
👍🏽😃❤️
You have the 6-cell linked, but where did you get your 4-cells? The cells I have are 12-cells and everytime I start seeds in them they never get past their cotyledon leaves. The roots go straight to the drainage hole but never around the whole cell.
I saved them from seedings I purchased from my local feed and seed store. Are the 12 cell small? Moving them to larger cells should help them get past that stage.
@@YellowDoorUrbanHomestead They are pretty small cells compared to what I see at stores. I potted up half of them with seed start mix in 4in pots, but still no growth after a week. I'm thinking maybe because I started them in seed start mix and the cells are so small that they aren't getting enough nutrients because I fertilized them and they grew a bit more, but then they stopped again after another week. I might have to toss them and just buy seedlings. 🥲
Asia, what state or city are you in ? I'm just curious about your climate.
Virginia
Beautiful content , What state is this?
VA
Are you going to post vlog videos?
Yes I am. I’m trying to get back on track. I have a bunch of footage…just have to sit down and edit it lol
Do you use your chicken droppings for fertilizer?
I have mostly added it the compost. I’m going to try sifting what’s in the run this year and putting it on as a top dressing.
