Very honest review for your readers. I tried the tool many years ago and it does not work for its intended purpose. Like you, I am being honest. Sometimes I buy tools just to see if they work. Time, money and production are important in what we do. Quality work is equally important and this tool is far from that.
Have you ever tried a 24-inch thin paint shield.. or same size, thin plastering spatula for cutting in ? Just wipe clean often. 5 times faster. Your welcome 😊. Also available in also available in. 28inc
Hi candelman I have used by myself and work very well around the skirting board and around the trim doors but not very well around the ceiling just if I want to leave that distance between the ceiling and beginning of paint unpainted
Can't see how that'll cut in tight anyway, would take ages going back over it all the time. Think the Americans pricing is so different to ours, I've always wondered what there hand painted kitchens must cost as there seems to be best part of 10 blokes on them
A roller will never take the place of using a brush to cut in. Have seen a couple of these cutting in rollers, no good, it's never going to happen. Yep, stick with a 3" brush - all day long 👍
I tried it couple of years back when it first appeared nice to know its still junk , like you would love to know how the bloke in the demo video made it work ?
Can’t do it with a new brush Bull-Shit I use a brand new 2 inch Purdy Monarch (blue bristle) Works perfectly fine for ceilings lines on David Wilson sites !
Hahaha a 2" FFS Don't tell us you're on price work .. Purdy brushes aren't what they used to be either , the new stuff is mostly garbage even the blue monarchs are mediocre at best, ditched them years back.. better brushes around these days .
Tommy Torquemada FFS 2inch ? Yes I’m always on price work just because I don’t use a 3 inch doesn’t mean you’ll do it any quicker I’ve been doing new builds for 21 years solid & I always cut in with a two inch purdy no problem. I don’t know what brushes you use but I’ve never had any problems with them for emulsion or oil based. Their perfectly fine.....!
I've used one on a same colour clean up on a rental. I found it useful to tilt the tool slightly towards the sponge cap, adding a bit of pressure..... Unload, bring it to the ceiling, then tilt on the last stroke when pulling back towards you. Your right , it doesn't go straight to the ceiling, but I was only doing the walls, and in the same colour. The roller arm is Ok with a regular sleeve on though.
If you use this just to take the brush marks away from your cutting in line it goes very close to the trim and make your work pretty , it might me nice for cutting the wall on top of the skirting board expecially on wide victorian skirtings ,I got few sleeves like that but I just used them for large cills and it males the laying off easy
The contours of a wall and ceiling are never perfectly flat so a roller is never going to be adequate ,a brush can sink in and follow any imperfections to create a straight line,
Nothing but a good quality brush is going to get close and crisp but this thing would probably be pretty good for quickly backrolling the brushed cut in to get roller texture
Looks more trouble than it's worth. I've used an artex caulker pushed up against the part I don't want painted in awkward areas, but I've yet to find an invention that makes cutting in easier.
I know Im asking randomly but does anyone know a way to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost my login password. I love any tips you can give me.
only a cowboy or a council flat decorator edges all the walls in a room first . one wall at a time to keep the entire wall as wet as possible . Cheap paint dries quikly and you will see the edging if its dry
Paintings all about doing it the easiest way possible...you bending down everytime you need a dip ...you must go home a very tired boy .. bring paint to you not other way round...
This shitty "tool" is only good on a 2nd coat. The idea is to cut in with a thick coat on a brush on the first coat to get tight to the skirt, dado, etc, then use this after on the second run, cutting out the need to cut in. Saves a bit of time I suppose, but just stick with the 3", fella!
Waste of time mark 3 inch all day long for cutting in mate but at the end of the day we have try stuff and if it works and helps to make coin then so be it but not this product.
Wat a load of USA rubbish .common sense will tell you that the rubber on end will be the distance that you cannt roll properly .ask for refund .typical American over rated !!

At least nobody in the comments told you how to really cut in and what to use 🤦🏼♂️🤣

I've seen Puerto Ricans use those plastic edgers and it's a skill. You can't learn how to do it in 5 minutes. Don't know about that roller though
Bought one a year ago, paid for itself doing top of wall on insanely high staircase, but you cant change the sleeve, unless Im wrong?
Just pull the sleeve off and put a new one on

Old Viking saying, "The early bird gets to steal your neighbours cow." No relevance to anything, just thought it was a wise saying.

Agent redec got bigger guns than popeye
And they are crap too much messing about. It's. Not good enough maybe ok for high awkward bits but that's all.
Paintings all about doing it the easiest way possible...you bending down everytime you need a dip ...you must go home a very tired boy .. bring paint to you not other way round...
