Bruce Bruce used to come to my job and give me passes to Uptown Comedy club in Atlanta in the 90s. Fast forward some years later my family and I are at Ryan’s buffet restaurant in Riverdale on the south side, Bruce walks in and sees me, starts cracking jokes for 5 minutes straight and had my grandma in tears! My granny is 93 now and we still laugh about Bruce Bruce in Ryan’s. Dude will never buy a drink if I’m around 💯

Bruce is one of the greatest entertainers out there. He had us cracking up at Greenbriar Mall one day we were skipping school (Therrell High). Such a great man and he deserves all the accolades he receives.

I met Pierre in LA back in 1992. My best friend played for LA College. I came to visit him. My friend was messing with some chick that Pierre was dealing with. They argued a bit. Pierre was at least a foot shorter than my homie. I broke them up. I was in the Army in Texas two years later and ran into Pierre at the mall near Fort hood. He recognized me quickly got me in the club that night too. ✌🏽

A dark skinned Lena Horne" That was the best description of her I EVER heard.A very beautiful woman.NOTHING compares to a beautiful dark skinned woman.Judy Pace, Naomi Campbell,Kenya Moore, Amara La Negra, Anok Yai and MANY others ( like my mom, my sister and my cousin Pauline... they aint famous, but beautiful dark skinned women).Chocolate is flawless.Complexion, skin, teeth and hair was ALWAYS on point.One of my favorite jokes from Chocolate was when she took lyrics from Biggie's" One More Chance".Biggie said " Girls pee pee when they see me"

I have so much respect for ALL comedians.First it takes guts to get up on that stage, but from various interviews on the different podcasts involving comedians its a true labor of love.From staying in roach motels, getting paid in food or no pay at all,to fellow comedian haters and many other obstacles you all have faced I totally respect the grind for those continuing to grind.These women and men who have stuck with it paved the asphalt for many years before even getting a decent check.So shouts to Bruce Bruce, Pierre, George Wallace, Dave Chappelle and the many others who continue to try to make us laugh and respect the game.I salute all the " Comic comics" and may you continue to stay blessed.

Yeah, social media the Internet in general has broaden the audience a comedian can reach. Remember back in the day if you couldn’t get on a particular program or get into a club and do your act might not have the chance to blow up but now there are just so many more opportunities, and you have more people than ever listening.
