- Hey friends, today I'm going over the new L'eau d'Issey Eau & Cedre. The scent itself is pleasant and clean but it's extremely light off my skin. A bit reminiscent of something like an Escentric Molecules release. As always thanks for watching!

Can I just say, I really like the vibe of this new channel. It's much more toned down. Much more chill. It feels more like chilling in a fragrance hangout and less like a fragrance performance.
hey Ash! i'm one of your subscriber from southeast asia. as we know it's kinda hard to find most of the brands you've reviewed in this Extra channel. so i'm glad seeing this kinda review from mainstream brand. hope you're covering more designer brands like this in the future videos. maybe some kinda underrated, hidden gem from mainstream brand would be nice. anw, great content as always!

what do you mean, they're still releasing good stuff! I do like Eau&Cedre a lot, it's light yeah but I do enjoy it. Good performance as well.

Big issey miyake fan and I just picked this up because I really liked the scent profile. Performance is disappointing but it works as a daily if you’re maybe in the healthcare field and don’t want to offend anyone

Haven't watched the video yet, but I'd like to thank you for previous Issey Miyake content, because as a result of your videos when I was browsing Fragrancenet a few weeks ago and saw that Noir Ambre was in stock for $75 I knew to pick it up immediately and not even think about it.
Now I'm just waiting for Pulse of the Night to pop up...
I smelled this the other day and actually kind of liked it. I'm not sure about longevity, sillage etc., but time will tell.
Hey Ash! funny you compare this with the Escentric Molecule frags. I own 01, 02 and 04 and I can hardly smell anything just hints now and then but with Eau&Cedre I do get the fragrance a lot, it's just a bit light but it's very present.
Funny, maybe skin chemistry thingy. I do like a lot, not their best but it's very good IMO

Not a bad starting lineup. We all start somewhere. If you need any recommendations on "road less traveled" hidden gems, lemme' know. I just reached 40 frags this weekend. Ironically, with a beautiful offering from issey miyaki, "pour homme sport" to be exact. Amaaaaazing... seeing what ash says about this one, as I only have 2 scents from the line..
@@brasstacksboxing409 I want some hidden gems. Just bought 8 bottles of stuff. 3 from dillards, 3 from Walmart, and the rest from Ross/Marshall’s etc.

On my skin it lasts a while, it's just the notes are not known to be strong. I would love this for work. The cedar and spice is nice.

Any recs for a clean/soapy/fresh summer frag thats not yuzu heavy from them?
@@rottensaliva I’d suggest giving Leau D’issey Fraiche a try. It’s a clean and fresh scent, very citrus forward but has more notes on the floral lemony side instead of Yuzu. You won’t get any of that sharp citrus. The lasting power is a bit weak though. Around 3-4hours tops. The smell is absolutely gorgeous. I bought it around a year ago, I use it on my jogs in the evening. It works best in hot summer weather, very uplifting when the heat is beating down on you 👍
@@Q_N- thx...but i see rosemary listed in fragrantica perfume breakdown and I had to give L'eau Bleue and Profondo (after i blind bought them) away because I cant stand that note.
@@rottensaliva yeah. I own the "eau fraiche" version. It is almost an aqua di gio clone with a rosemary touch, Tbh. No lie tho, their best summer freshie is "pour homme sport". I PROMISE you, it is by far their best summer scent. I copped the 3.3 big bottle for 30 bones. Great performance. Worth every scent. Amazing..

Nice home scent. People catch sweet water wiffs in dollar store errands. Blows off a/c well. Medicine cabinet size 1.7 is good for $40 or less. About as good as you can make ceder flavored water smell. .
My husband has this and I use it at the gym. For me it’s perfect for that.

I got same issue with Zadig & Voltaire This Is Love.
I just got a sample in the mail of this and it literally was gone off my skin as well as my clothes in under 30 minutes. I sprayed up the whole sample in one wearing and a soon as I sprayed it on I got a faint similarity to Aventus aaaaannnnddd then it was gone.
40 mins on skin, MAYBE an hour on clothes
I like this one quite a bit. It’s certainly not over powering, and I get nice little wofts for over 8 hrs . It’s minimalist to the Max 🤷🏼♂️

Hi. I'm new to fragrances. Went to the store today to buy my first bottle. Tried over a dozen and this is the one I liked the most.
Ash, this is exactly the way I felt when I tested it as a sample, I thought my nose has a problem. Glad to see I'm not the only one. And as your wife said, it's utterly pointless. Like you can find a 5 $ adidas body water that has a better performance than this

Nautica voyage, aqua di gio. D&G light blue intense.
But between the two you chose I'd roll with chrome aqua cheaper and more everyday fragrance than in the navy.
Love many of the Issey Miyake range however it’s pretty much the same with the Kevin Lucbert summer flanker which after no more than a few minutes has no smell whether you spray it on your skin or clothes, such a disappointment.

I panicked after I got my 1st Issey Miyake and had a huge dent after 2 days. The thin top of the bottle causes that.

Mine is super weak, I think for me it would only be useful as one of those fragrances you wear when you don't want to have something that anyone else can smell. Which is basically never, haha.

I hate fragrances that are faint Skin sents , like Hermas 24 and others if I'm paying the money I want to smell it
