Just bought this. It starts a bit strong and strong yuza. When it settles in my skin it's a nice nice wood fragrance. It's probably my favorite fragrance out of all I tried.

My son 24, and out of all the fragrances i have bought him(so he dont touch mines) he wears issey miyake the original as his number 1 fragrance. Over sauvage ect
This is my first time here. I’m VERY impressed. This is exactly what I’m looking for. I want something REALLY woodsy. I’m going to try one of the scents that you suggested in the video. I was hoping this one would have a stronger wood scent.

Thx 4 the good review. I've smelled the Wood&Wood and not my cup of tea too as it's too generic. There are plenty other fragrances out there which have a more spunk /bite and would pass. As for Pulse of the Night.. Smelled it at the airport. To me it smells fresh, light and a bit powdery / talc. It's nice but not worth the 90euro for it (100ml).
This smells just exactly or as similar to Acqua Di Gio Absolu but softer. For me, not so much of a hype. It is pleasant and reminds me of a Caribbean flower field paradise. It is woodsy at start but dries down like bleu de chanel or Dior Sauvage for me. However, I have Acqua Di Gio Absolu so i am find with out it. 7:11 I agree with you thereon. Edit: Also, very nice review! Like the effort you put into each and one of your videos. As a viewer, makes me appreciate fragrances even if they are not at their best liking.
After watching your review, I made a point to try it today ( on a test strip). I quit like it yet it reminds me of something my dad used to wear, so it's like you said it nothing new.
@@mwpahl38 it's so good! The florals are big in it but I would say an equal supporting part rather than dominant. On me it opens with a bombastic citrus leather and oud mix that will light up your day Then big luscious florals come out , while being reigned in by some dirty Patchouli. Then a bowl thick creamy Tiramisu absolutely drenched in the finest whiskey takes over and dominates most of the life of it.
Hey Steve 👋 I bet you didn't know that there was another bottle out there by the name of Oscar Dela Renta which Also smells like ISSEY MIYAkE & aqua di gio....I forgot the name though. That was a good one too

I love L’Eau Bleu D’Issey (anything BUT blue), but I’d still like to give this one a try. Ambroxin scents like Dior Sauvage and Versace Dylan Blue don’t smell good on my skin, so I wouldn’t rule Wood and Wood out.
@@chi-towncalifornia5916 I have almost bought it several times at TJmaxx! But no I have never tried it. I wear L'bleue year round, just lighter on the trigger in warm months. It is a beast on my skin.
@@chi-towncalifornia5916 I'm in Oklahoma City, OK. We can get temps anywhere between 100 and zero degrees but our winters aren't that bad, only a few bitterly cold days per year. I don't use full sprays on this even when I go heavy. Half and quarter sprays only.

I can't agree with the bad longevity. I use it under arm and there it is perfect and maintains a subtle woody scent - for 36 hours!
Waiting for another L'Eau d'Issey flanker to be as good as Noir Ambre and Or Encens.

I'm right there with you. L'eau Bleue is a masterpiece in my opinion. The best of the Miyake line by far.
