It's obvious to me that George Lucas knew the Harrison/Carrie chemistry was SO strong that he was worried they would outshine Mark Hamill. I mean, look at the original extended version of their kiss in this video. They cut out the erotic suspense after Han makes the first move. They cut out Carrie calling him "hot shot". Lucas wanted Star Wars to appeal to kids and their sexual chemistry clearly unnerved him.

I would agree with the guy who said Star Wars was the movie of a generation and Empire Strikes Back is the greatest sequel of all time (to date). Although _Avengers: Endgame_ was pretty damn good and I can't think of anything else even close.
I don't think there has ever been a film that has ever made the solitude of space seem so vast. The constant chase by the Empire in deep space, Luke's training on Dagobah, the battle of Hoth, the epic showdown on cloud city....the set designs, the acting and the music has never been better than in this movie.
I love how Carrie didn't have any scenes to shoot in the snow but she chose to stick around to support and annoy the cast anyways. Really goes to show the kindness and wonder of her character. RIP Carrie, you are sorely missed
Seeing the original film stock makes it look sooooo good. No need for all that digital crap on the UHD. Just give us a pure 4K transfer of the theatrical version. Do it, Disney!!!!
Also, because they didn’t have smart phones or internet or social media. They actually had to talk to people and live real life as opposed to the imaginary internet life that many people are living nowadays.
The Empire Strikes Back isn't just the best Star Wars film, its one of the best films ever made. All the Star wars films that came after live in its shadow.

The quality of those behind the scenes shots are pretty good. Must've kept that footage really safe. I've seen a lot of behind the scenes stuff but there's a few things here I've never seen so that's pretty cool.
I have to say that ADR guys (and gals) are the unsung heroes of movie-making. The difference between raw set sound and the finished product is incredible.

When Mark Hamill says Empire Strikes Back was so different, I'm reminded of the guy who said it took Star Wars and turned it upside-down. The big battle was towards the beginning, and Luke was literally upside-down (tuchas-over-tea kettle) 3x in the movie!
The Empire Strikes Back was better then anything Disney has ever done with Star Wars, all they had to do is look at the original movies take notes have good writer's and a good director and they would have made an excellent trilogy, well it's too late now.

Empire left us on the edge of our seats. Talk about an emotional roller coaster this movie was it. That is why this one was the BEST of the three.
