Beautiful beautiful beautiful. You’re right about the buttery daffodils 🌼 ♥️♥️😍 it really made it pop. Gorgeous. I love wedding arches. One of the prettiest
I have to say from all of the tutorial videos I’ve seen on TH-cam .. this is by far my favourite as you’ve used flowers than others wouldn’t use otherwise! Everyone sticks to the same usual roses and eucalyptus but you’ve shown that you can use so many varieties from just your back garden If only you could preserve this .. it is a shame that flowers don’t stay fresh for long
All of your videos are amazing, informative and beautiful. You explain everything so well and your whole approach is encouraging and makes me feel that I can do it. Thank you for sharing your fantastic talent.
I’ve made an arch on site with chicken wire once, but I found I’ve struggled with some falling out and not staying in place, and running out of room/ bumping into each other’s stems as I kept adding more! How do you avoid this?
Hi Shey! You take the chicken wire, and lay it out flat. Then you fill it with some sturdy greenery (I like holly, etc) and roll it up. This makes a perfect base and things don't fall out as easily. Good luck!
Hi Mary Anne! Thank you! First off, I would get pricing from your local wholesaler to price your florals accordingly (don't undercharge!), and then I just do an hourly labor cost for the time it would take to build the arch. Hope this helps!
Hey, curious about something I’ve heard to be “industry standard “ pricing: wholesale cost x 4 + 30% Is that legit? Is that what you do? Curious about pricing my work as well!
Gorgeous! Delicate and intricate. Love it! The price tag is totally out of range for me though, as I read you start at 1000 dollars. Thanks for the inspiration anyway.
Ode to Spring yes! Here, in the San Francisco Bay Area we are well on our way into the new season. I'm a freelance designer and will be doing my niece's wedding in just a couple of weeks. I love the loose-ness and garden feel to your design. Here is my question: what are the logistics for your method using just a cage and no floral foam? How much time would you allow yourself to build this but, most importantly, with the variety of florals used what is the expected longevity? Thank you for sharing your art, talent and information with all of us!
Thank you for your kind words Frances! I wrap the structure/frame with chicken wire, and attach it with zip ties. We water pick the blooms that we know we need constant hydration and try to stay away from florals such as hydrangea (would have to use oasis or some other direct water source for this). I allow 2-3 hours for an arch such as this one (4+ for more lush arches). Longevity of the florals depends on weather (heat, wind, sun, etc). In cooler climes and indirect sunlight, you can quite a long while out of the blooms. If hot and direct sunlight, you have to keep things misted constantly, and can expect it to last through the ceremony and possibly several hours after. Best wishes on your niece's wedding florals!

Hi Chris...great question! I always make my arches right before the ceremony that way they're super fresh, and some flowers hold up better than others. These spring flowers definitely wouldn't hold up in the heat, so I would either water tube the tender ones or use oasis as the base under my chicken wire. Hope that helps!
Hello! We always do our installations as close to the event as possible. So, if a wedding is at 5pm, we would have our installation completed by 3:30pm. We water pick our florals and spritz them with water to keep them fresh. :)
Absolutely beautiful! Do you have a ballpark estimate of how much this cost to make? Hope that isn't a tacky question, I'm just trying to see if DIYing something like this for my wedding will be feasible.
This arch is beautiful. I am curious about the logistics of wedding arches. How far in advance can you make them? You make them indoors and then move them to a location for the celebration? Do you mist them to keep them fresh?
Hello, and thank you for your kind words! I usually make them 4-5 hours ahead of the ceremony. I typically do not use oasis, just wanter picks, and I mist as much as possible, especially on hot days.
How do you keep the flowers from wilting? I want to do my floral arrangements the night before my wedding and I’m terrified they’ll wilt before the ceremony the evening after
Hi Rubi, if doing the night before I recommend using water picks and/or oasis jumbo cages in your installation. I do recommend though that the installation be done the day of.
Hello Mai and thank you! This one took approximately an hour. But if I had to add a water source (oasis and/or water picks it would take a bit longer). They usually take me between 1-3 hours.
How long do the fresh flowers stay fresh for in the installation. I'm shocked no water was used!! I've never made one with fresh flowers. Do you ever use a water spurce for these installs?
Hello! For our normal installations we do always use water. Usually we use water picks and chicken wire. The other option is caged oasis bricks. Freshness depends upon the weather. The cooler it is, and if it's out of direct sunlight, the longer the blooms last. Hope that helps!
If you were using floral foam, would you place them inside the chicken wire and secure with the cable ties? Also how far in advance could you do this if using water source, or how long would you expect the spring arch to last as it is?
Well, most of these flowers survived out of water for four days, as they were traveling to me. But, I definitely recommend using some sort of water source when creating something like this. Water picks are our go to. Hope that helps! xx
Hi! That is dependent on the climate/weather when you're building it. In full sun, and heat, it will not last long. If it's very cool and in shade it will last longer. Also, different flower varieties last longer than others. Hope that helps!
I love this! The flowering branches give it such a romantic airy feel, like a fairy land!

thank you! Probably the $2000 range. Flowers are definitely the biggest cost here...especially since prices have almost tripled.
How many hours will this last with no water source? Sometimes the weather is extremely hot with the sun beating down and won't flowers start to wilt?

You're looking at $500-750 cost for the flowers for this arch. Less if you forage more items!

When adding the flowers, should you be using water pics?
Hi Susan, yes, absolutely! We like to use chicken wire and water picks, but you can also use oasis caged bricks.

Who long does this arch last in 75-80 degree shade? Do you spray anything on the flowers after the arch is done? Beautiful ❤️
Hi! You have to work quickly and right up to the time of the ceremony, in heat. We spray crowning glory on it to keep it hydrated.
this is soo beautifull ❤️
Thank you!
how long would you make this before an event? I wouod be worried about the stems dying!
Hi Hannah! Yes, I make this hours before the event. In a normal setting we would use water picks and/or oasis, and if hot, plenty of spritzing!
Beautiful! Curious how much something like this would have cost?
Depends on floral varieties, size etc. Our arch installations start at $1000
If you were using floral foam, would you place them inside the chicken wire and secure with the cable ties? Also how far in advance could you do this if using water source, or how long would you expect the spring arch to last as it is?
I guess I'm kinda off topic but do anyone know of a good site to watch new movies online ?
@Michael Cason flixportal :P
@Keagan Hassan Thanks, signed up and it seems like a nice service :D I appreciate it !!
@Michael Cason You are welcome xD
Yes you would secure the floral foam inside the chicken wire and you can make them 24-48 hours in advance if your blocks are soaked.
That's beautiful! How much would you charge for something like that?
Our arches range from $800-4000. :)
Gorgeous but no water source for the blooms? interesting - how is that possible for an outdoor wedding?
Thanks for this, I definitely should've mentioned a water source. I recommend water picking or oasis.
Would you add water tubes to some of the flowers for an event?
I would!
where did you order all the branches from?
Hi! I picked them all from my garden. :)
@@PassifloraStudio wow would a garden tour/tips in the future be possible? 😄🤔😉
How long would the arch last? Could i do it the day before?

How do you keep the florals from wilting ??
Hello Abigail! Normally I would use hardier florals/greenery, water picks, and lots of intermittent spritzing.
