The Grizzlies were in the WFL. They were to have been the Toronto Northmen, but quickly moved to Memphis when the CFL objected. Memphis's USFL team, which came later, was the Showboats. The NBA Grizzlies moved from another Canadian city, Vancouver.

WE Radio 1430 was the evolution of the all-female WHER, profiled in the NPR documentary "1000 Beautiful Watts."

From that album they had 2 hits "Sky High " which is a BMI award winning song (Million selling single) and "Love Fire" which was just a top 30 hit
