    Good work, I did this job 10 years ago, took it a step further and replaced my busted ac compressor at the same time.

    Do you think this would be very difficult with no experience? I dont have the money to take it to a mechanic but I need to fix my car so this video is pretty helpful but I am not sure if this is something i can even do

      The hardest part is putting the bolts back into the intake manifold...You have to do it by feel.

    • @DaReepa80
      @DaReepa80 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Just take lots of pics,don't mix up the bolts, take your time, don't get discouraged and you'll be ok.

    I'm struggling with getting the intake bolt right above the alternator back in. How did you do it?? I'm feeling like I might have to disconnect the AC line and swing the bumper out to get it lined up.

    • @joshcb7
      @joshcb7  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You might have to move the bumper forward but I didn't disconnect the AC lines

    What all tools did you use for this?

    • @joshcb7
      @joshcb7  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nothing special except you need triple square bits for the bumper support(I just bought the 4 pack of triple square sizes) 6mm Allen to take out the intake bolts. Torque bits for the bumper cover. I didn't use a torque wrench to reassemble because it's low ft lbs and I don't have one here,so I'm sure it's over tight. It might help to get the bumper off and everything thing ready one day,Then start on the engine the next day (That's how I did it).

    How long did this take you besides cleaning and spark plug o rings all data says it takes 5 and a half hours to do this.

    • @joshcb7
      @joshcb7  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      IDK man, Book times are for mechanics who have done it before. If it's my first time doing something I plan double the time everyone says it takes. I just did the heater core in 3 days but if I had to do another MK4 heater core I could do it in a day.

    • @joshcb7
      @joshcb7  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Maybe the 4piece triple square bit set and Allen wrench's for the intake

      @@gabenisbet8706 No problem. The hardest part will be putting the intake bolts back in, You gotta do it by feel unless you drained and pulled the radiator out of the way.

    No wonder why a mechanic shop charges so much money to do this!!
