    Very good review. I like this guy...he's a sales rep but not cocky or overbearing. Also, this touring model has a beautiful interior, and an incredible amount of modern features, especially considering the price point.

    I personally think Honda really nailed it. The car looks and drives great. I'm taking delivery next week on a 2.0L touring radiant red. I even pimped it out a little, side molding, mud flaps, under body side spoilers and chrome sports grill. I'll miss my 2014 VW CC R-line manual, but, the features and turbo on this car having me coming back to Honda.

    You forgot to mention that in the middle where there is the USB and 12v plug there is a wireless phone charger/connector to car play. You just pace your phone right in that cubby hole and your phone connects. Just bought this car and I LOVE IT!!

    @4:10
    You can use the USB port to plug in a flash drive containing your music files.
    The stereo is nothing special. So if you want to make it sound its best, then playing cherry picked .flac files (avoid .mp3 files) will let the stereo sound its best.
    What I mean by "cherry picked" is that not all digital files sound the same. Your favorite song might be available on an original release, greatest hits, best of, various compilations, and any number of remasters (remasters often sound worse). So the exact same song is available with varying sound quality. If you take the time and effort to pick wisely, you will have a much better sounding music collection.
    @10:40
    "Just giving it a little bit of gas"
    Note that the car has 3 driving modes:
    1) Econ
    2) (neither Econ nor Sport)
    3) Sport
    With #1, the car feels sluggish. A little bit of gas does not do much. You will often find yourself pushing (not much happens), pushing harder (not much happens), pushing harder (not much happens), pushing harder (BOOM! - it takes off). But you get the best fuel economy. This mode is best for heavy traffic and highway cruising. It is a bit frustrating on local roads where you are repeatedly doing 0 - 40.
    With #3, it is the opposite. "Just give it a little bit of gas" will give you a jolt of acceleration. This is mostly due to the car maintaining a lower gear. So you will get a rewarding response, but at the cost of fuel economy.
    #2 is ideal for most driving conditions. The car is responsive (never feels sluggish) and will get close to the "Econ" fuel economy.
    @10:56
    "We also have paddle shifters..."
    Note that the car operates differently, depending on the mode you are in (Econ, Sport, or neither of the two -- meaning the middle mode).
    In Sport mode, once you use a paddle, the car will hold that gear. The car will no longer shift automatically. The exception is to keep the car from stalling and from over-revving the engine. In other words, the car will hold the gear, as long as it feels you will not damage the car. You can return to automatic shifting by holding the right paddle for 2 seconds.
    In the other modes, the car will only temporarily hold the manual gear. After a few seconds, it will return to automatic shifting.
    @11:10
    "...also has a Sport mode..."
    Not mentioned is that the sport mode increases the Turbo's boost, and it stiffens the suspension a bit.
    @13:48
    Neither view is linear.
    You have a choice of wide angle, and very wide angle (as well as close-up view).
    @16:23
    "...great stereo system"
    Not quite. It is so-so.
    I own the Accord, and I also own a 2003 Nissan Sentra.
    The stock stereo in the old Sentra is better. Not because it can shake the car (it cannot). It is better because it throws a realistic soundstage. It has better imaging. The speakers disappear (close your eyes and your ears cannot identify the location of the speakers). None of this is true for the Accord. You always know that you are listening to a mechanical device.
    Honda has the resources to have done a better job with the stereo. They either put someone in charge of that department who never heard a great sounding stereo, or Honda decided to cut corners.
    Note the Toyota's Camry and Nissan's Altima stereos are of similar sound quality. I will give the edge to the Accord. But not because it is better. Mostly because it is less bad. You can enjoy the stereo, but it is nothing special.
    Cheers!

      @NoEgg4u 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Uhhh The 400 watt top end (top end for the car, but mediocre for a car stereo) gets louder, and pumps out more bass. It does not sound any better (unless you equate volume with quality).
      Sure, we all like to turn up the volume for songs that rock. But making mediocre sound quality louder means hearing the same mid fidelity at higher decibels.
      It is like watching an unfocused movie. Play that movie on a larger screen and you get more of the same blurry video.
      The Accord's stereo, for folks that never heard a very good stereo, probably sounds real good to them. They will hear nothing wrong with it. It is only when they hear what a truly good sounding car stereo sounds like, is when those folks will notice the deficiencies in the Accord's stereo.
      I listened to most of the stereos that the Accords, Camrys, and Altimas had (can't remember them all and I was more focused on the driving aspects of the cars). What I do remember is that none of them sounded better than the stock stereo in my 2003 Nissan Sentra. My Sentra's stereo does not make the windows rattle. But it does get reasonably loud. More importantly, when I play quality source material, it sounds like real people and real instruments, with space between each performer and instrument. It draws you in to the music. I was shocked at how good it sounded when I purchased the car back then.
      I wrongly assumed that 17 years later that the cars would have even better stereos. I was disappointed to hear that they got worse.
      I purchased the 2020 Accord Sport 2.0. And I listened to the stereo in the Accord Touring 2.0. I do not recall the details, other than nothing impressed me. Honda, Toyota, and Nissan all dropped the ball (or intentionally spiked the ball, to cut corners).

    Great review! But just one thing I'd like to mention....sport mode doesn't increase the torque or horses. From what I've researched, all sport mode does is change the ride of the suspension. Now, you mentioned that it changes up the gearing which the way I interpret that is the car holds each gear out longer than normal for maximum acceleration. But, I doubt that's the case because the high end torque on most 4 cylinders are pretty mediocre.☺
