I will keep them in my prayers the Chicago Cutlery next to home here love them knives I have a couple I also collect the Morris Cutlery Company in Morris Illinois around the same time over a 100 years ago they started when Chicago Cutlery did they all worked together from being migrants from the same country.
Thanks for ending the video with the Western, a beautiful knife and one of my favorites! Prayers for Glen from Glenn. Our most valuable thing in the world, our time. We never have enough yet many of us waste a lot of it.
Opinel No. 8 carbon steel was the first knife I purchased for a camp-out with friends….still in use after 40 years. It was a great value for under 10 dollars👍
Kevin Springfield armory has a great 1911 also like I said earlier my preference is a ruger 1911 both are very nice 👌 very generous gifts from your viewers 😀 be safe and GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸 🙏
That Western knife was just like my first hunting knife my Dad and Mom got me for Christmas when I was in 6th grade. Back in I think 1969. I still have the knife but lost the sheets. Great videos.
Everybody loves the Knife Doctor! 😂 I even have to get my daily dose at Hunting Camp. I’m praying that Glenn is feeling better and able to make it to the knife show. I know he would hate to miss it. I plan to see you all there if everything goes well.
Prayers to everyone. God bless you all. Kevin, the support you are seeing is a physical representation of the appreciation we all have for you. Thank you for another great video. Lot of good stuff. -DlME
I have quite a few of the Opinel's love me peasant knives lol that one you got with Knife Doctor on it is ceecoated over 1095 or something else High Carbon steel.
Thanks for another great video, Doc! You can get a new (series 80) Colt 1911 for around $800 and I can guarantee they're worth the money. Great to shoot and beautiful to open carry while grilling 😁🇺🇸
Sweet knives! I have the Old Bears I do not have the sheep's foot you got I have the drop point and clip point ones need to get that lol. anyways they are called peasant knives over there same as Opinel's.
Question? Bought a case today and the tang stamp wasn’t there it was tested xx on the box. But not on the knife does this happen? I can send pictures on face book. Good video prayers for!
Omg I just picked up a shcrade Walden knife with a marlin spike exactly like that. I figured it was military issue.i also picked up a buck knife like that with a marlin spike
@ they really are. I found it at a flea market I’ve had my eye on it for a while now. I got a case with a bullet shield. And a case camping knife both from the 80s.along with the buck rigging knife. And a couple more cheaper knives for 80 bucks! One of my best scores yet
Doc, i really like your videos.. but i have a question for you.. everytime somebody send you gifts.. some of them went to your collection, and some you auctions them… is that ok for the people who gave them for gifts? Did they get some commisions from the auction? Just curious…
@theknifedoctor I was just told by my cousin, a retired Coast Guard pilot that they were issued a knife like this... used the fid/spike for making back splices.
I’m not the biggest fan of that 1911 holster. The craftsmanship is really nice but it lacks a retaining strap. Which is very important since you’d be open carrying it. You don’t want someone to catch you off guard and steal your pistol.

Band saw to split, then a sander.
