Can’t wait for the new series of content! Your bat looks great!
lets go! cant wait for the first game!!
Looks a gem Dan, taking my Chaos for its first net this evening, can't wait!!
Enjoy! How did you get on with the Chaos?
@@danjadzx it's nuts! The middle is huge, I'm 6'5" so went for a longer blade and handle and it's an absolute beast. Pick up feels around 2lb 10 but it's 2lb 15, the ping off the middle is like a tennis racquet! How's yours going?
I have the composite bat from WCW you used in a previous video 😊
Where’d you get that from?
As a complete novice (slash, someone who might wanna take up cricket now I can get to games) I'd be interested to see a video explaining how to knock in a bat properly. I just about understand why but is there a specific method? Is there a way you can tell, physically, when you've knocked in a bat well?
The reason that you need to Knock it in properly otherwise it will mess up the bat and if you want to know how to just look it up on TH-cam
Just search it on TH-cam m8 should explain everything
Just don't hit the splice area or hit it from the side. Ever
6:38 In one of my first games last year I got out to a ball that hit a damp bit of pitch and pretty much rolled onto the stumps. I think it took a chunk of pitch with it seeing as the only thing that hit my pat was mud.
a lot of technique coaches out there... Just smash it. Have fun, and always try to hit it harder! 😁
your bottom hand comes through a lot dan, practice before every ball squeezing the bat tightly with your top hand, as that does most of the work, and then place your bottom hand loosely on the bat to encourage more top hand play and getting over the ball to avoid the pop ups to mid wicket and cover! and try starting in yoiur stance holding the blade in line behind you to avoid the wide bat coming through for the shot and the overcorrection you have to do as mentioned. Looking good though and that's a serious blade
the wide bat coming through for the shot is causing you to slice across the ball instead of smacking it through the line with a straight bat
thank you mate, will certainly take the feedback onboard and try it out next time i have a bat!
Love it Dan great content !!!
thanks lej! appreciate you watching the video
Class video Dan!
thank you!!!
Classy video! Bat looks awesome!
Surely if its been rolled and pressed it shouldnt need knocking in? I bought a new gm bat last yer and i rang them up about knocking it on and they said that its rolled so it doesn't need it. Was they telling me wrong?
not wrong, i think GM will say theyre match ready, and will probably be pressed harder than other bats
Neighbours loving that…
ha occupational hazard
Nice one
Has anyone seen Dan play a cut shot????
a what shot?
traditionalist - play in the v
No
Paid to have one knocked-in. Not worth it. Wasn't done properly towards the toe so had to get the mallet out anyway.
they just get put on machines for the most part, but can obviously still damage it first use, very frustrating bit of kit like that
@danjadz yeah, this was a machine, don't think it went anywhere near the toe. Not worth 40 quid 🫣
Is the person standing behind a cardboard cutout ??😂
quality piece of kit but jesus christ its expensive
very lucky to be able to use the kit this year!!
get a keeley then you don't need to knock it in!
WCW not given you a discount code horror
Your neighbours must hate you Dan?!?
The guy stood at slip while your half an inch innuendos were coming out was complete schoolboy & then during the same ‘half an inch in your hand’ comment & getting bowled was 100% to be expected.
was great timing to miss a straight one!!
Get that bloody Aussie Jersey off. For Christ sake man
Quite like it 😂
@@danjadzx It is a nice jersey.
give it to someone who can use it mate
Who?
That kit is wasted on you (prove me wrong this season)
