Love your channel, but maybe you could preview the AI narration before you publish and correct it where necessary. Among other things, it doesn't handle large numbers very well, and it's prone to random mispronunciations. Thanks, and I love the videos about all these obscure cars! Subscribed!
I totally agree that there are problems with the voice acting, unfortunately neural nets are still not too perfect. I'm not comfortable with the whole situation myself. I tried many times to create videos with my own voice, but the final result was just terrible, my family and friends told me not to use my terrible voice.
@retrocarchannel I'm sorry to hear about the problems with your own voice. A voice coach could probably help you, but I suppose that the cost might be difficult for you to justify at present. I have a couple of ideas for you: I've never used one of those neural nets, but I assume that you are feeding it written text and it sends you an audio file, or something like that. For the large numbers, you could spell them out ("one thousand three hundred fifty dollars" instead of "$1,350"). If there is documentation available for the speech engine that you are using, perhaps it accepts phonetic spelling in some format for difficult words. If you can point me to where to find the service that you are using, I would be interested to look into this for you. If that is not possible, I humbly offer my services as voice talent at no cost to you. I'm not a professional but I have many years of theater experience and I would enjoy gaining experience in voice-over. Please check out the videos on my channel for examples at my current skill level.
@@retrocarchannel While I have you "on the line", I just want to say what a great channel you have. Really tight, interesting scripts on arcane vehicles. And about the AI voice, it's absolutely perfect and sounds so very real -- until it makes some goofy mistake, and then I remember that it's only AI. Still, it's far better than an amateur's voice, _by far._
This is one sleek beauty! Not fond of the fins though. Extremely gaudy. Great visibility! Awesome paint and plenty of power! Good to know that it survives! Thanx!
To Think that was in someones head , and it came to fruition , is pure mental- genius , I would love to have a day in that thing you wouldn't get a minutes peace. God love the guy for his endeavour, 200Kid
Thank you for including this iconic Dream car in your series! I've lived all my life in St. Louis, Missouri; home of the National Museum of Transportation, and the DiDia 150, (along with the Chrysler Turbine Car,) was one of my favorite automotive exhibits. It's a shame this was never made into a 1/25th scale model kit; though 1/43rd diecasts are available. I would have wanted one of these for my collection! Again, thanks! 26th Like.
I love this car. Since it can't fly, it could have been George Jetson's weekend ride. A stock photo Bobby Darin and Sandra Dee would have been helpful. I know the names. Can't place a face. Now I have to look them up. OK, I've seen them before. I was only 5 years old in their heyday.
Fascinating car, great pictures, but please use a real live human being for the narrator! The AI compugen voice, with its MANY mispronounciations, is extremely irritating!
I remember this car when Bobby Darin bought it. I was 13 or 14 and obsessed with cars. I thought this car was disgusting. "All crapped up" is the term.

Great channel, but yea, why they don't teach the AI to correct these simple issues is way beyond me.

Fair enough for various reasons you won't use your voice but please find some way to address the problems mentioned

Beautiful concept.

So funky, so cool, so pimp daddy I'd have to have one! I thought my '59 Caddy was over the top but this takes the cake.

Thanks for the great comment and helpful information.
At 0:22 a price so high it breaks the bounds of known numerical values!!!
In today's dollars, that's exactly $ 9, three hundred 5 thousand eleventeen oh hundreds 48 $ fifty dollars and thirtyteen cents.
Bedazling !

The car’s styling was outdated by the time Bobby bought it.
What's the story on the hood being raised a inch or two?
So what's the engine size in litres?
Hideous vehicle with a Plymouth steering wheel. You should showcase some of the Brook Stevens masterpieces like the Scimitar.
Anyone know what AI voice package this is?
Looks like a hammerhead shark to me.
I'm guessing this video was almost entirely AI generated.
I wanted to like this video but the robo-voice makes it impossible. Thumbs down!
Your AI narration doesn't live up to the quality of your content? Why not get a real human instead?
Because I don't have the money to pay someone to professionally voice my videos.
Epitome of late 50's early 60's styling excess.

Its a hideous Frankenmobile. Also, the AI commentary in this video is awful.
