      That's because actual parents view themselves as such and are far less tolerant to nonsense. The blonde's mother wasn't interested in being a good mom, didn't care about her daughter, and was pretty much a selfish woman; her father was no better and it made her bitter and angry. It's great the brunette's sister stood by her and her father came through at the end. They actually loved her

      If you get a 2lb box from See's or other chocolate or candy shop, they typically have a deeper box for two levels of candies. So, it's possible the candy shop in the movie had wider, longer boxes instead of higher boxes for more than 1lb. And, if you're a guy dating someone who lives in a women's hotel, sorority house, or had siblings at home, it would be typical to give her a large box to share with everyone. I'm single with no children, but if I couldn't afford to give my kids a fair life result living in LA, then I need to gg -- get good at choosing a better area or State where it's not so expensive, my career, and being available to my family on a regular basis.
      Priorities, I guess

    • @sofiabravo1994
      @sofiabravo1994 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@LA_HA if we have kids until it’s affordable then we would be too old to bear children (it’s already happening) even adopting can be hard because when you’re in elder age you don’t have the same energy when you were younger. The birth rates in the us is so low we won’t be able to replace the next generation.

    • @LA_HA
      @LA_HA 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sofiabravo1994 I may be very wrong, but if you can't afford to have children, it's hard on the entire family. However, adults can deal with the hardships (though money issues, especially lack of money, is often the biggest reasons for divorce in the US). The child will suffer the most if the parents can't afford to have the child/children.
      Second, there's the thought that the parents will need to spend the majority of their time working to put a roof over the family's head, food on the table, pay the bills, buy clothing and other needs of both family and child/children.
      How will this benefit kids who need the parents' attention? Especially if they're poor and live in impoverished areas. This is where kids can really be left to figure out things for themselves, but in the wrong way (gangs, crime, etc).
      Third, I truly don't believe we need a large generation of children since most Western nations are quickly moving into the era of information and technology.
      This means we will not need a large workforce on any level, and whatever jobs are left will be hard fought over, especially jobs that aren't highly specialized. Many of the jobs that are available now will be going out of the job market permanently with nothing to replace it.
      This means there will be too many people and not enough jobs. And it will occur in the near future, not the far flung future when we'll be colonizing Mars.
      There must be millions of children around the world suffering because they don't have enough. Even people in First World countries have a higher instance of poverty because people move to these countries without a solid education, they don't speak the language, and have a hard time assimilating into the society. This is going to effect/affect their ability to cope, survive, and thrive. This is the adults I'm talking about.
      If they have children, what will happen to them?
      Again, maybe I'm wrong. It's been about a year since I've studied this issue. But, the last time I was up on it, the situation wasn't improving. It was getting worse little by little.
      Last, here's something else to consider - in the US, when people say there will be enough jobs for everyone and more because for every job lost in a declining market segment, there will be five more to take it's place, they're likely a government or educational bureaucrat or getting money from one or both. Because those institutions say that to keep the population high in order to pay into social security and the public service accounts that they agreed to pay, but can't. That's why they keep trying to raise taxes and get money from the taxpayers by any means possible.
      Once again, maybe I'm wrong

    • @LA_HA
      @LA_HA 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's because, back then, people were adults at 16, 18, and 20. They had to be. The childhood years a person has in contemporary times is much, much longer with fewer expectations on them. A lot of people don't reach adulthood in the same way until late their 20s and 30s, sometimes in their 40s. The fashion reflects this individually and societally
