I had that camera new, it was $4,600. Great camera, but the sensor was a real dust magnet. That's a steal in the $200 range.

I purchased one about 2 years ago and it was my very first Fullsized DSLR. I picked it up, along with the Canon 70-200f4, for under $700 at KEH. That weekend I took it with me to an Old School drag race event and this kit blew my mind! It was a nice day, so the 8000 fps along with a burst rate was super nice!!

@M R Yes, you are Almost right! It is actually called APS-H, there is no C in the description. Either way, it is not quite full frame.

I found a really nice 1D mkiin local a couple of years ago for $300. It only had 38k clicks on the shutter and zero dings or scratches, all port covers, etc. That 8mp sensor is super nice with good light. My favorite lens to shoot on that camera is a Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 art lens.

KEH is awesome! I recently purchased a lens & camera from them. I had to send the camera back b/c there were a lot of dead pixels in the center (that issue actually was covered by their warranty) and I didn’t realize it only had 3fps (😳) and the return process was a breeze also.

The camera Peter McKinnon used to use was the 1Dx mark II and III, this isn't the x model which I assume you were thinking of and came out in the early 2000's. Still a great camera though.

Its operation is indeed too cumbersome, and it takes a long time to remember how to operate it. Cameras after 1D2n will not be so complicated.
