Great episode. I’m amazed the review of the 2025 AC Catalyst was released without being updated to recognize Arctic Cat’s suspension of production. All the talk about the potential for the Catalyst platform felt very awkward knowing this may be the last year for the Cat sleds. The likelihood of a saviour buyer coming along seems slim, given the low sales and climate change snow (lack thereof) conditions in most areas other than the lake effect snow belts. (Postscript edit: thanks for pointing to the great editorial about the status of Arctic Cat on the Supertrax website in your reply!)
@@snowtraxThanks for the tip! Great article and it would be awesome for the brand and the industry if Arctic Cat were to continue. Argo makes a lot of sense as a potential buyer with their long history in recreational vehicles. Let’s hope it works out!
Me too But Now Rumours are True We Might Loose Arctic cat Too Hopefully They go the Way of Harley Davidson after buying it Back from AMF and Running it By Former Employees Arctic Came back With a Eltegre that was built by Dave thompson Larry colten Roger Skime and Tested in Yellow stone before Releasing in 82 season
My buddy has a 2014 assult 144 800 it has just under 10k on it. It needed a shock rebuild once and now finaly the secondary went. That machine has been beat on non stop and that's all it asked for. I say keep your assult nothing new seems to hold up quite as well.
BRP should bring over Lynx's sport utility line up. The Commanders and Rangers look great and are feature packed. It might take away some of Skidoo's sales but I think it's growing market segment. Everyone I know personally that's bought a new sled in the last couple of seasons has bought an Expedition.
If the snowmobile industry is depending on these to be their big volume sellers the industry is on its way to extinction! I haven’t seen ONE episode about ANY manufacturer offering what anyone can consider affordable sleds! Hilariously exorbitant prices are not going to entice anyone to the sport!
💯. I myself want a Lynx Rave but there is no way in hell I could afford one. The industry needs some affordable high volume units to survive. Lynx is Ferrari in the sled world and Ferrari doesn't keep the economy or auto industry alive.
We've done a lot of coverage of the NEO line, which is definitely a value sled. Sleds aren't cheap, but you can find overstock deals and used sleds that might fit your budget better.
So, are we still promoting over priced, over teched snowmobiles. Great job, but lower the prices or build simpler and cheaper. Snowmobile engine shouldn't be more than 2000$, chassis 4000$, skies, track and windshield are worth 10000$ ? Barely getting 2-3 months use and some years 0 use and I'm as north as the highway goes in northern Ontario. No wonder some brands going belly up.
Wow that Arctic cat is amazing
Janne tapio was unbeatable in scandinavian snocross, always on the lynx😊 the perfect man to be involved in lynx production.
Thank you for the best content...
From 518Choppers in upstate NY...
The Lester's continue to never let us down...
Very much appreciate that!!
Your welcome.M.L.N.R
Great episode, hopefully Cat stays in the game. Healthy competition is good for the sport
Great info video S.T.

I have a 2012 Assault 800 and I really want a new sled. I love my sled but oh man are these new sleds awesome!
Put a King Air under it and Assault air shocks up front and enjoy a superior ride and performance for 1/3 the price..

@bigboopy8243 thanks that's awesome! You guys are right, fix and build my sled for less is pretty much all I can do anyway! Thanks!
I had a 2012 SBA and now a 2023 XCR with the 7s. If I could do it over again, I'd save myself $20k and keep the SBA and buy an aftermarket GPS.

Nice vid👍
Do any manufacturers know what a windshield is? What a brilliant idea

Maybe CFMoto from China will acquire AC and make cheap affordable selds.
Because no one will buy them.

Aj you should of ran pct a bit longer or get into a softer shift like var or winny at end of your cycle 💪💪@ 11:43
Lynx is mostly marketing shmoo. We saw it with the Japanese cars.
Time to do I had to head wait and top speed of all the 850s Scooby Doo Polaris and Arctic cat top speed runs
Its Janne Tapio, not Tabio!!
Shockingly, we actually know that and know Janne quite well. This spelling error just slipped past us in the edit room. Sorry Janne!!!

Sort of like KTM. Gas Gas, and Husqvarna.
Where is there snow?
Loads northern ontario
@bigboopy8243 Heck yes. Ontario is awesome this season.
This was actually filmed last March in West Yellowstone. Snow was decent when it sucked just about everywhere else.
Does Lynx suffer from the same quirky handling as Ski Doo?
Thank to no snow winters here in Minnesota, Cat is done also!
Janne Tapio is his name not Janne Tabio😂
Yup. Our mistake.
500$ for a couple of wheels for you skis is the biggest rip off ever
No Kidding
The whole industry has lost its collective mind.
