Loved it. Doesn't try to imitate other films. Sensuality is just over the top. Audrey Tautou is nothing short of amazing. This film gets a vibe going and keeps it. Great cameos. See it with a lover. Or at least with someone sophisticated.
I'm a huge fan of The Big Lebowski and a friend of mine told me that he had run into Turturro a couple of years ago and he said that he was working on this project, so I was excited to see what he came up with. With all of that said, I'm disappointed by the trailer. It is an entirely different energy that uses one great character from the original, takes away his best points and creates an entirely new universe than what was established in one of the greatest cult classics of all time. It all seems like a money grab and I probably will wait until its release to blu-ray. Which is saying a lot because I've watched The Big Lebowski around 200 times.
I'm interested but also feel like we got everything we needed from the Big Lebowski. The Jesus didn't need an "El Camino" style spinoff, IMO of course.
