I'm pretty sure he's got 2 of the wheels on backwards.
This design mechanic is called "mecanum wheels", they are supposed to MIRROR eachother (both from front to back mirror AND left to right mirror), but he has them all going in the same direction. So it should be "/ - \" or "\ - /", not "/ - /" nor "\ - \".
because they are are not being powered it doesn’t really matter. the pattern is so when they are ran

or the opposite the machine will go left or right
@@graysondidsomething8967 Well, i mean, mechanically and physically speaking, it doesn't matter where the force comes from, so powered or manual, it would be the same thing. Either way, the way they have them would only cause you to spin in place in a specific direction or go 45 degrees exclusively to the 1 side but not the other.
It does matter for that aspect. As it's not balanced friction from left to right. That's partially WHY it needs to be mirrored.

They couldn't, they mounted the wheels wrong. The rollers of the wheels are supposed to point towards each other (inwards). They mounter them all pointing same direction

Little tipp for drilling stuff: Use a wooden surface underneath. That way you can drill into the wood and not destroy the tip of the drill which is important for centering the drill and making sure a 6mm drill does a 6mm hole.
bless you for trying; was my first thought when I saw that clip, too... but these guys have been abusing and misusing tools in nearly every video for well over a decade. At this point, I'm pretty sure they're doing it on purpose.

just to put it out there... you guys aren't using these wheels for the way they were designed. The wheels work so that if you have 2 going in different directions (powered individually) they will move you in a sideways fashion. I get that you can't do that on a skateboard and you don't care, just thought I'd mention it.

Try sizing trucks/wheels on a youth snowboard, grip taped and glue/fasten/rivet, slit rubber hose around the edges for safety. Make a squirrely longboard with kick nose and tail.

If you already figured out a way to screw the wide diameter cylinder part of a plastic bottle together, and it is still not completely air and liquid tight. Then a little bit more heatwork will solve that.

Get a drill press and watch a couple yt videos to get it goin. Make these builds look 10x better and maybe last a little longer. gotta have the right tool for the job. mad respect for keeping it raw dogs.

Idk why I need to remind you guys but when you go for a kickflip you want to be on your toes, only the little kid had decent form. Looking a little flat footed when you go for em Gabe, try being on your toes on both feet when you go to pop and flip it. Look at this guy at 12:28 Gabe he's on his toes, that's what I'm talking about and then he landed it no problem.

Love these vids lol, you should try to make golf ball wheels, drill holes all the way through so they can slide onto the trucks but also drill out a hole on each side for bearings to set inside the ball! Would be cool to see!!

I guess you're going to have to get beefyer Omni-diretional wheels. Let's see if you can make um strong enough for impact. These lasted a little while so they are on the right track I'm thinking thicker Titanium. On the sides. Thicker bolts for for the Omni rollers. Gotta crawl before you can walk. Can't wait till they get the correct strength to take the impact.
