The worst part of spring clips is that so often they're installed what I call upside down, with the hole above the button as we see here. That's dumb because it makes the insertion blind if you're above the amp. Spring clip the binding post "pigtails" can make a good electrical connection, but they offer no mechanical improvement; plugging in the bananas is still a two-handed operation. This solution is a whole lot better.

Thanks for that. I have a vintage pioneer amp and one of the spring clips is not working. Suspect solder has broken down. I now know what to look for when I open it up.

I should really do this to my Onkyo TX-8500 Mk. I. Always been annoyed with the spring clips since I can't justify buying expensive and fancy cables with banana plugs

Hey do you know if you can wind the new terminals all the way off or does it break them? Feels like a hard stop at a point but need to take them completely off to clean the banana socket properly (have mud in them)

Hey Turntable Guy. I recently picked up a kd2055 and the anti skate isn’t really working. Is there a video of you testing and repairing the anti skate on a turntable?

I am about to buy the same amp actually and plan to do the same upgrades. They look easy enough to make without spending silly money and buying them from overseas. Can't do it, get someone locally to make them. Just saying !

They're definitely easy enough to make yourself.

Summer is usually slow. Also, my full-time job has me tied up quite a bit right now.

IMHO 45 EUR for a pair of Swiss & Custom Made YAMAHA M4 Terminals isn't expensive at all. This is just 5,60 EUR for each gold plated robust terminal without the plate, drilling holes, 4 suitable screws, craftsman work and the order, postage handling stuff. In addition paying TAX (Tax = Your Work Force & Life Time).
One of my M4s bought used already got "male banana wires" soldered internally, running through the removed terminal plate. Not nice looking, and why "male bananas" ???
Nevertheless I prefer the original shitty terminals, or your already used solution interim connection cables.

I bought a German telefunken stereo with radio and turntable. The radio and phonograph don’t work, but the speakers a fine . I want to adapt a new receiver to hook up to the speakers. How is this done?
