  • This winter I went snowboarding to Verbier Ski Resort located in the french part of Switzerland. I got very lucky with sunny weather and perfect snow conditions and I got a chance to ride the longest and the best powder run of my life. Verbier is considered to be the best ski resort in the world for freeriding. It is also considered to be the most extreme ski resort with lots of super steep terrain and double black slopes. If you are lucky with snow conditions you will be able to discover limitless off piste terrain for powder snowboarding or skiing. I have visited a lot of ski resorts in Switzerland before I went to Verbier. This powder run is probably the longest run I have ever ridden. And I think it might be the longest powder run in Europe as well. It starts at Savoleyres 2347 m and it goes all the way down to the Verbier village to 1550 m . The run is not so steep but the speed is still quite high so it feels more like you are surfing than snowboarding. This was an amazing experience and I hope I will comeback there as soon as possible to repeat this run.
    I shot this video on GoPro Hero 6 in 120fps. I had the GoPro mounted on the helmet for POV shots and I had it on the carbon selfie stick for selfie shots. I applied some simple color grading in Premiere Pro and Warp Stabilizer on some static shots.

    I'm from Australia. Have only seen (very thin) Snow and have never been snowboarding. I'd really like to learn snowboarding next winter (June, July and August 2021) at the Australian Alps. Snowboarding just looks so much fun!!

      Yeah, I guess in Australia you don't get much snow :) . Snowboarding is too much fun, once you try, you will get very addicted. Maybe I should even say to you not to try it, because it will be hard to get back to normal life after that hehe :)

      Oh, wow! Is there a straight run from Mont Fort to Le Chable ? I had no idea... I know about Bruson - Le Chable. But anyway in this crazy global warming weather you need try hard to catch the moment, when the snow hasn't melted down there :)

    That is pretty long my legs wouldn't survive that especially with so much heelside work.

      Yeah, my feet are always burning to the almost extreme pain, but I had to keep going for the video's sake. A camera is a good motivation for longer ride training and trick practising. It helps a lot in snowboarding :)

    Hey I just wanted to say I really enjoyed watching your video and you really deserve more subscribers! I just started a channel myself, so I know how it feels to be making good videos but not being able to show it to more people because of small number of subscribers. Anyways, great contents :)

    • @ThinLineMedia
      @ThinLineMedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@noahyamamoto808 Yeah, this place should be open this winter and the lifts can take you to this place in my video. The best months are January and February which have the coldest temperatures. But you can visit this resort until the last day of April if there is enough snow.
