Nice project George and very timely. I liked the repetitive use of circles, I sometimes have problems getting my circles where I want them, the alt key while adjusting will be a welcome addition to the tool set. The wingdings subject was something I knew nothing of in the past, thank for making PSE fun! Rich
+MrMoonpie001 Thanks Rich! I was getting a little tired of all the negative campaigning this year so I thought I would lighten it up a bit with a quick fun project. George
this is useful! though it looks taking much time to finish it as compared to traditional plain drawing (if can pefectly done, haha). i have to practice. thanks again for walk through us the process!
You're welcome! I agree, if only I could draw those stars that perfectly, and I went to art school. As for the time it takes on these projects, you can usually do one of these in under 5 minutes if you know the steps. What takes the time is explaining the whole thing. George
At 2:37 you place a shape on the background and a new layer appears with the color and shape in the layers panel. I only get a white circle on a gray background and also no small square in the right hand corner of that icon. The project fails because this happens to all my shapes/layer. Guessing is some settings change...please advise. Thanks
Hi, make sure you are working in RGB mode. Go to the Image menu and click on Mode, then RGB Color. If you are in Indexed mode it will not create shape layers. George
+suni choudhury Hi, simply make a new layer and move it to the bottom of the layer stack. If the layer at the bottom of the stack is named Layer 0 then that background layer has been changed to a normal layer, you can change that back to a background layer from the Layer menu. But realistically any layer that is the lowest visible layer acts as the background in the picture. So just make a new layer and drag it down below the other layers then put whatever you want on that layer. George

+Travis Williams Hi Travis, sorry, no recommendations. Since I do video for a living I always work on a big desktop computer. I have heard that Dell and Acer are good brands, but I haven't tried them myself. Maybe if I get more popular on TH-cam some of these computer manufacturers will start sending me hardware to review.
