The school embarks on a third trimester program where students are asked to go and stay in deprived Communities and bring change after identifying their problems. Through this i started and NGO to support these identified deprived Communities and school children most especially because because some students good to school without a dress to put on and not to talk of learning materials.So far we've been able to visit about five Communities and i believe by your videos we get more sponsors.Thank you very much

Depends - the IRS won't consider your donations tax deductible unless you have tax exempt status (like 501c3). You also need to be incorporated in your state. If you are not, you may be personal liable to pay taxes on any donations coming in because it could be viewed as personal income.

In many cases you can start a project and do a drive or fundraiser for a cause you are working with without having to start a separate NGO. My first step would be to see if there's already an existing NGO in your area you could partner with!
