I’m wanting to get into selling games on eBay as well and just got my first lot. What size bubble mailers do you use? Also, when someone purchases your game, even though you pay for your postage directly through Canada post, do you still print off a label through eBay? Also what is a good way for a new seller to gain reputation as a more trustworthy distributor?

Not sure if you'll respond or not but how did you calculate shipping to the USA? Do you use lettermail for video games? I heard of some folks that got their games sent back from Customs.

Do you deal with scammers often I sold a 360 game years back and paypal just never paid me my money, it was horrible and made me never try again. I even shipped the game so i was out of my game and paid to lose it.
Has this process changed going into 2023?
What if you end up with a low sales priced game? If I listed something for less then 5 bucks am I wasting my time or is it better to get it out asap? How are people making money on a $2.00 listing for example?
New subscriber. Learnt a lot off 1 vid but i do have a question. I watched another vid and they talked about cheaper shipping rates so they use this place called shipping express or something. Where i live, its basically canada post, fed ex or ups. Do you use canada post for everything, even your bigger “boxed” items?
Very helpful video! I have pretty much the same setup except i scan front back and then photo the inside showing manual (or not), I use an ECHO Pro2 by ElmUSA for quick refurbishing, very fast and worth it, others are sloppy and high maintenance, I notice Price Charting lets you sell did you ever try it?
How did you originally determine all your shipping costs for varies of items
I usually enter them separately for each item. But for video games I always do $3.50 even if sometimes it goes a little less, just because of the volume I am listing. However if you only had a few you could weight them all before and provide a better price to your buyer for sure!
And if you are referring to items that are not lettermail then I now almost always use calculated shipping.

Thanks and great question! On a video game that I sell for $4.99 I also charge and additional $3.50 for shipping. This means the total I receive is $8.49. My cost are: cost of game (avg $1.50), Ebay fees (approx %13) $1.10, Paypal fees (2.9%+$0.30) $0.54, shipping cost of $3.35 and packaging $0.10. This means the total cost is $6.59. $8.49 - $6.59 = $1.90 profit. Thanks and hope this helps!
@@common_lad Did I understand this correctly...you made $1.90 on this item. Maybe it's just me that seems like this particular one is not worth it. Did you include your time and gas and handling? Maybe I am missing something as I am new to this reselling game. Love all your video's.
Yes that is correct. I usually make a little more then that per game as a lot of them have a higher selling price with those same costs and the costs themselves are a very conservative example. I could see how you would be a bit confused about how this makes any sense though so let me try and explain! I can usually list a bin an hour (bin is 18 games) so if I’m making an avg of $3 profit for example per game it adds up to about $60 per hour. That leaves plenty of room for my time and gas to be factored in. (Not gonna make you rich but it’s decent money). Now this usually has a 3-6 month sell through rate for them all to go but if you do enough volume it makes sense. It also varies from bin to bin depending on what I bought the games for and what they are selling for. Hope this helps clear it up! I may even make a full video about this in the future.
Have you tried listing from your phone on the app? Personally I find it way faster and easier
I do it a lot for one off items and it works great! But if I’m doing things like video games in bulk it’s much faster for me to do it on the computer.
How do you ship for 3.50 in Canada? I also am from Canada but can’t find it this cheap

So what about the dimensions for the package? I see that it has default measurements, but does that really affect the shipping. And is it better to auction for more recent/expensive games or just buy now.

They are in Usd but can be converted to cad on the pricecharting website.
