    Great tutorial, I got a lot of ideas from you for my first book! I also wanted to see how you would attach the pages inside to the cover. Do you have a tutorial on that please? 🌺

    A really useful tutorial Marina. Once I had applied the black paint and it didn't turn out as envisaged, I would have abandoned it but the difference was amazing after adding the purple and Inca gold. It has inspired me to resurrect some of my 1/2 finished but abandoned projects. Thanks so much.

      Oh, that makes me so happy Gill! Thank you!
      Sometimes I let things go for a little while but I always come back to them too! I wanted to see if I could make It into something good, and it turned out great!

    Awesome journal idea! The black you used for the cover worked really well for enhancing the lovely violet color.
    Had you not used black, the violet wouldn't have looked so good.
    Excellent tutorial!

    I love this! I find tissue paper really difficult to use though. Ours tends to hold air pockets and is hard to control so i use paper towel wet with watered down pva glue etc then finish the top layer with tissue. Works better for me.

    You are an excellent teacher and I really enjoy your videos as well! A question, if one was to put two layers of cereal box cardboard together, would you recommend using glue or two sided tape?

    I really enjoyed this Marina, thank you so much...definitely going to watch your hidden signature tutorial next! Do you print out most of your lil inserts, etc. on card stock...or buy pre-made packs? Both perhaps lol...sorry just really want to learn how to do this. Must be super expensive to start out getting so many wonderful adornments & supplies!? Hope you have a great night....errr day lol. Gah, guess I should go to bed! ♥

    • @MarinaWilsonSaySomethingCrafty
      @MarinaWilsonSaySomethingCrafty  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're so welcome! Thank you too! I printed my inserts for this one on copper parchment! That way I don't need to dye it and it always looks great in a book of shadows. I started crafting out of a shoe box. It took me a while to learn what was important and what could wait. I learned of places wit great bargains and places I could go to buy to recycle things. Butterbeescraps.com has great metals for a good price. Wish.com sells many cheap but good quality craft supplies, Yard sales are great to find old jewelry and books! Goodwill has a lot of cheap books you can repurpose, alter, or gut to make into journals. Those are just some tips so you can save some money and time. I hope they help!

    great tutorial. Even though I have been making JJ's for years, I still love to watch really good tutorial videos. I always learn something new. I am going to make a modified Book of shadows and by that I mean the content will be more goth related. I have never made one before. Molding the tissue paper and sewing thru it is brilliant. Also FYI DecoArt has a product called "Metallic Luster" Exactly like InkaGold only cheaper. Excellent product. Question, where is the best place to buy the closure you used? Also another FYI lol to cover the holes on the metal use small flat-back black pearls.

    What is to keep the alcohol ink from rubbing off the metal?

    How do I add the paper to work on would you sew it In ?

    • @MarinaWilsonSaySomethingCrafty
      @MarinaWilsonSaySomethingCrafty  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you mean to add paper in general then yes. I would recommend making a signature. If you are wanting to add onto the journal then sewing or gluing would work as well.
